Sherri is just flat out amazing! She helps me process things that are going on in my life and she often helps me see things from a perspective that I hadn't considered, which is extremely helpful. Sherri is always supportive and she helps me feel empowered to tackle whatever issues I'm facing. She has helped me navigate some of my darkest days, and I know she's always there for me when I need her to be my voice of reason. On a scale from 1-10, Sherri is a 100!

My therapist, Sherri, is just simply amazing! She helps me process and work through things in my life that I'm currently experiencing as well as events that I have lived through but continue to still impact me. Sherri helps me to see things from different perspectives that I had not previously considered, and she makes me feel safe in expressing my true thoughts and feelings. Sherri is a kind, compassionate, and wonderful person in general and I feel blessed to have her in my life as my therapist, sounding board, and confidant. I always look forward to our weekly sessions and when I feel the need to share things with Sherri between our sessions she always responds to my text messages quickly, so I definitely feel like she is always there when I need her- and even more than that, I feel like she truly does care for me and my overall well being.

I have gratefully worked with clients for over 20 years, within a local social service agency. I have expertise working with individuals and families impacted by the child welfare system and with individuals who have experienced trauma. I specialize in relationship issues, stress and anxiety management, adjustment disorder and LGBTQ concerns.

I received my Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Tech and my Master's Degree from the University of Connecticut. I specialized in Marriage and Family Therapy in my Master's program and consider that a valuable foundation to my profession.

I know taking the first step to research and find a good therapist can be difficult. But now you're here, so we can get started! I want to get to know you better and examine the issues you are currently facing. Then we will explore your motivation for counseling and identify your goals in therapy. I want to make the most of the time we have together.

I enjoy and welcome working with any race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identification or other "labels" we put on people. We all have something to offer, and finding your strengths and how you can use them to move forward, is my personal goal for our sessions.

I look forward to working with you!

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

I've been working with Sherri for at least a month now and she really has helped me tremendously. From moving on from my past trauma to moving forward to be the best version of myself, she's always there to listen and give feedback. She's so friendly, understanding, and caring. She's very easy to talk to and truly such a wonderful part of my week is getting to chat with her.

Sherri is really amazing, Im so comfortable speaking with her in our weekly sessions and truly feel like I can be myself with her. I've never had my own therapist before and certainly never considered online therapy and its amazing. Sherri answers all my IM-s within the day I send them and no matter how back and forth, up and down my life is she always tries to understand, not judge and respond to me. She keeps conversations centered around me feeling better and never speaks in negative towards anyone/situation I have going on. I would 100% recommend Sherri as she's so relatable whether she can compare to your problems or not! I definitely want to keep my therapy journey going because of her, so thankful to have her.
