Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Overall rating:
I Love my therapist and her ability to keep it real. She is so encouraging and uplifting and helps me think of solutions I hadn’t thought of before.
April understands me and has helped me understand myself
She’s empathetic, and incredibly helpful. Appreciated her insight and resources.
April has been wonderful, supportive, and helped me find actual solutions to most of my issues.
Posting this in case I can’t at some point uhhh.....so incredible. I think that’s a good description. She is a very good listener and very honest and very real with you. She doesn’t sugar coat things but she also doesn’t bluntly tell you things that would harm you rather than help. A heads up, in general, this does need to be said. If you are someone who has self dx’d with borderline personality disorder or questioning if you have it? Let me make it clear because I know the horror stories from people who have BPD she is one of the rare few that will listen to you and not disregard what you say. She will listen and within the BPD community, that is a major step forward as well as a signal that she is someone safe to talk about BPD because she doesn’t show any signs of a bias/hate/stigma that are seen among others. Other than that she’s great at helping you plan things out and so good at following through. I highly recommend her.
Phenomenal!
April has been amazing. She understands how I feel, and tries to help me out. I can say without her I probably would of done something that would have been bad. She works with me with in phone calls and messages. She's absolutely amazing and an angel!
Very helpful, has helped me out of a really dark place and continues to do so! through all the confusion of transitioning genders she has helped me realize that everything doesn't have to be so confusing and scary.
April is very easy to talk with. Like we've been friends forever. She put me at ease from the very beginning. Looking forward to a long working relationship.
April has been wonderfully helpful in guiding me to see situations differently and break out of my mental traps. She has show care and compassion in the way she has approached my therapy needs. Thank you.
April is wonderful. She’s supportive and helps me see things from a different perspective. She doesn’t tell me what to do; she helps me look at our family problems from all angles; then decisions become easier. She really listens and I’ve learned a lot.
Dr. Abrego has been great. She’s helped me through some really rough moments in my life and helped me learn new ways to communicate my feelings and needs. She’s also taught me better ways to cope. Thank you Dr. Abrego.
Dr. Abrego, is kind and understanding. She gets straight to the point without sugarcoating anything. I enjoy that about her. She does provide thought provoking insight as well which I believe to be the best attribute for her to have especially as a therapist.
April is doing a great job helping me work through my behavioral patterns. I'm learning a lot about myself and what I need to do in order to be better.
I have already recommended Better Help to pretty much everyone. I love that it's on my time and I get a response regularly. There's no pressure to share or squeeze visits into my schedule!

I have been seeing April for about 6 months so far and have learned so much about myself. She’s caring, attentive, funny and relatable. She finds balance in validating my feelings and showing me areas where I can improve or shift in my thoughts or perspective. I would recommend her to any and everyone!
April is amazing and I’m happy she’s there when I need her! She’s helped me a lot and I can always depend on her!
I have been with April for a few weeks and she is amazing. Attentive, engaged, and empathetic. Would definitely recommend!
I’ve only had a few sessions with April, but she truly is a wonderful counselor. I had tried counseling previously but didn’t particularly mesh well with who I was seeing. April has shown me how counseling truly should work, and what it feels like when you find the right one. She listens non judgmentally, validates how I feel, sends me relevant resources, and is able to find patterns to my jumbled thinking that I’m not aware of. Could not recommend her enough.
April was a fantastic listener and advice giver. Equal parts kind, funny, and empathetic. If it wasn’t frowned upon, I’d be happy to have her as a friend!
I cannot say enough good things about April. I love her approach and how easy it is to talk to her. I work in a behavioral health hospital and because of my experience with April and Betterhelp, I have recommended this to other patients. I could not be happier with my therapist. Thank you, April.
April is an extremely understanding and competent counselor, she always makes time and always helps me when I need it. Highly recommended!
April is very thoughtful and her probing is very constructive. She offered a lot is time slots in her schedule, making it easier for me to make therapy fit into my schedule. I'm very glad to have been matched with April.
April has been really supportive and Professional and made me feel so Comfortable from the moment I spoke to her and at ease after 1 month of sessions with her I really found great peace ,understanding and solution to the issues I was dealing with really pleased with her very great and good person and Counselor
I have really enjoyed my sessions with April. She listens, and responds appropriately. She makes sure my concerns are addressed. She finds ways to help my outside of the sessions.
April is fantastic. For the first time I feel like someone is actually trying to understand what is at the root of all this, rather than walking in with a judgment and trying to walk me into it. I feel at ease, and she is always responsive - sometimes faster than I can be. I am VERY happy!
I’ve only interacted a few times, but, it has been amazing. I really appreciate her time and compassion.
