Hi there, my name is Elizabeth Byrne and I hold a certification from the National Board of Certified Counselors, as well as the credential of Licensed Professional Counselor from the state of Pennsylvania. I believe that true lasting healing requires safety and trust in a relationship. I strive to create a collaborative relationship where you will experience warmth, caring and guidance as you work to reach your goals. My clients describe me as an invested therapist who remembers even the smallest details and plays an active role in helping to facilitate change based on your needs in our work together.

My areas of specialty center on life's various transitions and the self-talk/beliefs and external communication that affects positive change. The transitions I’m most passionate about include living as your true self, beginning/ending intimate relationships, regaining connection with and prioritizing oneself, helping people to navigate changes in their health and making decisions about their well-being.

I have worked in public health settings for over 20 years, successfully supporting clients in reducing or eliminating their tobacco use, navigating life changes with new diagnoses, managing the shifts in family life when caring for an elderly loved one or new child, and maintaining their sobriety.

I have always worked with a wide variety of communities and specialize in queer and trans support. As a CNM/Poly/Kink friendly provider, I create a safe space for any nuanced sexual health and wellness needs as well.

Additionally, I provide supervision for counselors seeking their LPC as well as seasoned counselors wanting consultation around my areas of specialty. I work individually and offer group supervision for counselors.

I look forward to working together soon!

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
