Hello there! My name is Edward Vincent. I practice psychotherapy and am licensed as a Master's Social Worker by the state of Michigan. I have 30 years of experience working with people on a variety of problems from depression and anxiety to alcohol and drug abuse. My guiding philosophy for clients is to help with their personal growth and healthy development by seeking to overcome any obstacles to this. My approach to therapy involves: listening carefully to what a client presents, doing my best to understand the nature of their difficulty , offering
empathy and constructive feedback, and working with them at changing the thoughts, feelings and behavior that interfere with their development and personal growth. To that end I am always honored and humbled to be called upon to work with someone on difficulties in their life's journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Great to work with and very helpful
Very satisfied with Edward.
Edward, is fundamentally a very helpful and effective therapist in listening, considering the 'patient's perspective and 'drawing out' from the patient what is needed to understand the topic(s) of concern and providing touchstones for advancing in one's psychological balance and well being.

Thoughtful, calm, kind, insightful and proactive with checking in with me.
Edward has been patient and understanding while I worked through my hesitation with phone sessions. We worked through messaging first so I could take my time sharing some of my troubles. Starting therapy was a scary leap in my journey towards overall wellness and Edward has been very helpful!

Ed is a great therapist and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a therapist. He is an empathetic and patient listener who also looks to provide guidance and tools to help patients outside of therapy.

Very compassionate and professional, highly recommend
Edward Vincent is an attentive and personable therapist.
Edward is a very good therapist. He listens attentively and really gives great advice. After writing him just a few times I‘ve started feeling better about certain things. I can really recommend Edward as a therapist!
What I discovered about Edward is that he will give back to you exactly what you are capable and willing to put into the therapy. it’s not so simple thing to get to the center or even the couple of outer circles to the center of what you think your issue is. Edward has a manner and a patience that allows for discovery. It feels quite organic and honest despite how simple that sounds. In any case, of Edward I can say his ability and interest, his resourcefulness and care come through with every meeting.
I just know that guy really cares about people and I feel this is just more than a job for him. I'm fortunate to be matched up with this wonderful soul and I feel that in a world where I often feel a bit alone, I have a friend in my corner watching out for me.
Edward is a very attentive and comforting therapist! He made sure to understand my thoughts and needs and always gave great advice and support . Eventhough English is not my first language, he always took the time to really understand what i was saying and we were able to communicate without any issues. I really appreciated Edward as my therapist and I gladly recommend him further.
Edward is an excellent practitioner with exceptional listening and understanding. He is calm and allows time for people to gather their thoughts.
