I believe being in therapy is about having a place of safety and support so that you can express your thoughts and feelings. By using a present focused approach I create a caring environment that will help you make changes in your life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missoula specializing in psychotherapy with individuals and couples. I have over 20 years experience working with people who are dealing with depression, anxiety, loss/grief, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, and relationship issues. I have a Bachelors degree in Cultural Anthropology.

My focus is on using a cognitive behavioral approach to understand patterns of thinking and change self defeating beliefs; and developing mindfulness skills to create greater self-acceptance and satisfaction in your life.

Paul has been really helpful over these past few months helping me better understand my anxiety and ADHD. We've discussed everything from family and friend issues, work-related stress and general help with changing negative thought patterns and improving self-esteem. I don't feel quite finished with the journey yet, but I'm happy with the progress so far.

Paul is a wonderful therapist. He has a beautiful energy around him and provides nothing but kindness and acceptance. We unearthed a lot of ‘issues’ that I had no idea were ‘issues’. Paul helped me tremendously in understanding why they were there and provided me with guidance to help resolve them. His style of therapy makes me smile. He challenges me and never allows himself to give the answer, we’ll not right away unless I need assistance. He guides me and allows me to work it all out myself and I think that is a wonderful thing to teach me, especially in most things life
