I am a provisional Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters in Social Work from East Carolina University in 2009. I have been providing support to children, adolescences, adults with disabilities, and their families since 2003. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, trauma, Mood Disorders, and ADHD. I also have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
It’s an honor to be able to come along side others during their journey. I am passionate about helping women, parents raising adolescents and/or foster children, and young adults. It has also been a pleasure supporting foster parents as they learn various behavioral management techniques to best support a child demonstrating challenging behaviors. My counseling style is a strengths-based approach and I use a collaborative problem solving approach to help tackle life’s challenges. But I have learned along the way there is nothing to big for God to help us through. He has taught me I can trust in Him and His plans are greater than my plans.(Jeremiah 28:11, Romans 8:28-29)

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Lauren has walked alongside me as I’ve navigated a lot these last two years. She’s helped me set boundaries and become a better friend, wife & mother! She’s the best and I appreciate her so much.
Lauren is amazing! She helps me to see things from a different angle. I get so much out of our therapy sessions.
Lauren is wonderful. She is practical in her advice and guidance. She helps me reframe my thoughts or plans so they are productive; she will allow me to revisit things until I have a strong grasp of how I can apply these tools. I have always left a session knowing I can apply something in my life often that day.
Lauren is a great listener and asks the right questions to really understand what I'm going through.
Lauren was amazing. She helped me ask the hard questions and gave me the tools to explore them. I highly recommend her for any issues you are facing.
Lauren has been incredibly helpful and compassionate. When I began my therapy journey, I was looking for someone who was able to listen and help me parse out my thoughts and understand them, and Lauren has done that and more. With her help, I have been able to understand my own thoughts better, and shift perspectives from an anxious and troubled, to understanding where all of those feelings come from and what I can do about it. Lauren has always listened compassionately and created a space where I feel comfortable and confident. I cannot recommend her enough!
I’m really enjoying my experience with Lauren! She’s always supportive through our sessions each week. She listens well and helps me navigate all my challenges & struggles in my own way. She’s helped me learn about myself and continue to grow personally. She also provides additional info when needed. Highly recommend Lauren :)
She has helped me so much with my past trauma and helping me heal. She is so supportive.
I didn't mean to select mostly agree on one of the questions. I meant to press strongly agree. Lauren is a terrific counselor.
They found a therapist that fit me perfectly, helps me understand things or introduces different mindsets. helps me move through things I struggle with, and dig into my goals.
Lauren is a compassionate therapist; I feel heard and I am comfortable discussing my challenges. Would definitely recommend her for her knowledge and expertise!
Lauren has become a real jewel in my life. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for her. She is patient, understanding, and somehow able to sort through my jumbled thoughts and help me find clarity and direction. She doesn't avoid the hard things, but she takes careful consideration to how ready I am to address them. She knows how to gently push me when I need it and when it's best revisit a subject later on. She makes it easy to open up little by little. She is always respectful and doesn't rush me. She's handles my case perfectly. I'm so excited my the progress I've made since working with her.
Lauren is intelligent, knowledgeable, and professional. She is very good at what she does and offers a variety of tools to help clients to cope with and work through their trauma and their anxiety/depression/etc.
