Marla Jones is excellent. You can tell that she cares about her clients/patients and that she wants to help them make their lives better. She wants to give them confidence in themselves and does so by helping them look within while respectfully remaining objective. She also tells it like it is and stays real, which I appreciate because I feel like I don’t have to put up a front with her. If you text her about anything going on she WILL respond and in a timely fashion. I do send her some journal entries and she responds to them as well. She also checks in with her clients/patients if she hasn’t spoken to them in a while and it helps knowing she’s there and cares, even on the good days.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Behavioral Specialist in the State of Pennsylvania with over 30 years clinical experience. I also am a Board Certified Mental Health Therapist in Pennsylvania. My expertise extends into areas of self esteem and co-dependeny as well as drug and alcohol, and addiction recovery. I have also worked extensively with grief counseling, children on the Autism Spectrum, domestic violence, and healing from childhood abuse, parental alcoholism (ACOA), and or children of dysfunctional families.
I am an intuitive listener, with excellent assessment skills. I can quickly work with you on a treatment plan for improved mental health. I believe in giving some 'homework' assignments (educational enrichment) through either bibliotherapy or U-tube videos. I realize most people are working and don't always have the time to read a book, in these busy times, My clients easily feel connected to me and are anxious to make improvements in their lives, given the support and skills that they need to do so.
I believe in building new skills, such as improved coping skills, improved communication skills (especially in couples and family therapy), and improved boundary skills.
I have a passion for helping clients achieve the kind of success that translates in well-being as the foundation for everything I do. My sense of humor combined with my natural empathy for others helps me establish a safe environment where people are free to learn and grow into a deeper understanding of who they are and how they function, I have also taught community workshops on learning dating skills, the Artist's Way, and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
