My many years in the corporate world as an executive for a significant family business helped prepare me for my work as a professional addictions and substance abuse counseling.
Not only did it condition me with the tools of awareness, acceptance and compromise in the face of diversity and difficulties, but also it taught me never to give up: keep looking for options and solutions even in the times of darkest trouble.
As an executive managing hundreds of employees it would have been easy for me to assume that my perspective on life was the only one that mattered. Fortunately, my own struggles managing relationship and emotional challenges taught me that everyone has a right to their own perspective and feelings. I endeavor to listen intently to my clients, be open and honest with my feedback and always honor and protect the right of the people I work with to make their own decisions in life.
As a former high school teacher, wrestling coach and girls soccer coach, I have experience with teenagers and parents and have helped resolve family conflicts.
My work experiences took me on a career path through many states, Oregon, Oklahoma, Arizona and California before returning to our 4th generation family business in Pennsylvania. As such, I have experienced many different cultures and life styles.
As a former 20 year board of director of a billion dollar bank, I have experience working and connecting with other business leaders in Pennsylvania. As a counselor, this gives me a unique insight into the world of high finance and connects me with the culture and work ethic of the corporate world.
My work in professional counseling and the addictions psychology field in particular gives me an opportunity to practice what I've learned and share those benefits with others. When problems beset us and challenges threaten to overwhelm us, looking for who's to blame is a waste of time. Rather, I've come to realize that the best use of energy and life strategy is to find ways to accept reality, deal with facts without denial and grow into greater levels of maturity as a result.
I am no stranger to life transitions and with my counseling skill sets, I make that experience available in creative ways to my clients. I cannot change my clients. Only they can change themselves. My goal as a professional counselor is to help clients find the ways and means to modify their behavior so that they are able to take better care of themselves.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Andrew is very insightful. He listens well and steers the conversation when I get distracted or digress. He wants to know what motivates you and where you the changes you'd like to see in your life. Great guy and therapist
I went through a few therapists before finding Andrew. He is excellent: informed, broadly educated, compassionate, responsive, and extremely helpful.
I really like my therapist because he has done everything possible to help me better myself by talking about my emotions and providing me with things like breathing exercises to calm me down. My therapist also takes time outside of our meeting times to call me and check on me and if there is an emergency, he was always on the other line making sure that I was fine!
Andrew was great to work with and very helpful. He shared a number of extremely helpful techniques. Thank you, Andrew!
Andrew is more than a therapist for me, he is a counselor and a mentor for all things life. A mix of his experience, education and people skills wisdom and understanding has been a great help thus far, and I am very thankful to have him by my side!
He is very friendly and supportive. In particular to career and professional issues he has great experiences and can understand and imagine the details of my issues.
I am so grateful to be working with Andrew! He is an amazing therapist; he very good at listening and is super helpful!
I was nervous to start this process, but Andrew's style has been a good match for me--or he perceived what I needed to open up and has adapted well! He did not rush me into things and also talks and engages instead of having all the pressure on me for long monologues. So there is no interrogation feel, and more of a conversation. I highly recommend Andrew!
Andrew is amazing! His warmth really comes through even though we never met face-to-face. I highly recommend him if you want a caring, compassionate counselor.
I really have found Andrew to be a great help in a point in my life where I feel lost and yet do not want to give up. Andrew listens and is insightful, and offers his experiences in life to help point me in the right direction.
