I love talking with Celia I think she does a great job listening to the concerns that I have and finding ways that can help. This month has been tricky finding time to schedule a zoom meeting just because I am so busy with school, however we are making due with the time I do have.

More about Celia

Hello, my name is Celia Gardner. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Wisconsin. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling, having graduated from Webster University in 2004. I am also a National Certified Counselor. I've been in the counseling field for 16 years, working in a variety of settings and with different age groups. A specific area of interest for me is working with adolescents and women, although I also have experience working with men and couples struggling to salvage their marriage. I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed Care and Adoption Competency. Additional areas of expertise include anger management and treatment for men (and women) who use violence in interpersonal relationships.

I recognize one of the most difficult things for someone going through depression, anxiety or history of trauma is to make that first move for help. Once that first step is taken, the next steps come a little bit easier.

I believe 80% of an individual's success in therapy is based on their relationship with the counselor. In my experience, I have been able to gain clients' trust and comfort level to enable a positive relationship and the ability to delve into their life's challenges.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have to help make a decision on a counselor.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Celia is a fantastic therapist. First and foremost, she listens very well and takes notes throughout the sessions you know she is paying attention. She's also very nonjudgemental, and takes feedback really well. You can speak your mind without having to worry about who's listening, which is one of the marks of a great therapist. I highly recommend her.
