Welcome! My name is Kari, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin with over 17 years of experience. I love working with children, teens, young adults, and families. I have worked with clients on a wide range of concerns ranging from depression and anxiety, stress, communication and relationship difficulties, self esteem and confidence, adjusting to new life stages, and grief and loss.
My counseling style is warm and authentic. I believe the each person is the expert in their own life, and I want to offer support in navigating changes that will help my clients live better. I have a knack for being able to quickly identify the strengths my clients have, even if they cannot see those strengths in themselves yet. I believe in being inclusive of all people, regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc. I love encouraging people to reach their full potential and uncover their skills and gifts, I love supporting people as they learn to move through something that derailed them momentarily. I think that therapy is such a gift you can give yourself, having another human being hold space for you and support you with unconditional positive regard is life changing. I want my clients to experience freedom from the challenges and barriers that burden them .
Personally, I am a mother of four, wife/partner, sister, daughter, friend, reader, baker, and therapist. I love road trips and travel, coffee dates with friends, a cozy fire and a good book, and hikes with my dogs.
My goal is the help my clients discover the power within them to live the lives they want. The therapeutic relationship is built on trust, mutual respect, honesty, communication, and commitment to do this work. I look forward to connecting with you.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
