Deon is knowledgeable and empathetic. He is able to grasp the point and core issue quickly. I wish I was able to utilise his counselling more effectively, and will likely contact him again in the future should I need counselling again.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Initially I was quite unsure about signing up for BetterHelp, as I was not sure what my options would be for therapists and how this entire process would work, but I was surprised to find I was connected with someone that specializes in the outlying areas that I was also concerned with as well as the primary concern for seeking counseling and so I left the initial match as is, and so far it has been a very welcoming experience. Mr. Gatson is very respectful, professional and seems very sincere in his responses and check ins, and I am looking forward to his insight into the areas that I need to work on.
