I am a clinical social worker licensed in Arizona with over 15 years of professional experience in therapy. Since I was a teenager, I have always wanted to work in a helping profession. I have had the benefit of attending a terrific Master's program in Social Work at Temple University. However, the people I have served along the way have been my greatest teachers in the quest for positive change in all our lives. The beginning years of my career were hands on with women's issues, substance abuse, hospice, community, and inpatient mental health as a mental health technician. I have also worked in a group home for developmentally delayed adults. Once I earned my clinical license, I provided individual and group counseling for adults focused on the wide range of human experiences. I have worked as a Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, and Therapist with adults of all ages. Over ten years have passed since my clinical licensing and I have enjoyed every one of my job experiences working one on one with people.
As unique individuals entering a counseling alliance, beginning the therapy process is always a new adventure. I have been taught that the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship we find together. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, and Reality based treatments, and I like to assign constructive homework between ongoing sessions.
The world-renowned psychologist Dr. Carl Rogers suggested providing unconditional, positive regard when establishing the counseling relationship. In every new therapy alliance, I try to emulate his humanistic approach. Overall, my expertise lies in mental health and substance abuse counseling. I really enjoy positive psychology and I am told that I am caring, loving, and genuine. We are all in a new age, grappling with old and new issues. I would enjoy meeting you and working with you to move forward in a healthy way.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I have confidence that Janet is listening to me when I share what’s going on and that means the world to me
Janet is wonderful! A lovely person and a great therapist. She has helped me to walk through some pretty tough things.
She is always very kind and encouraging and gives great advice and insight when you need it. She's not afraid to give tough love but always makes sure to check that you're doing well. I trust her and would greatly recommend her to others
Janet has been a wonderful source of knowledge and helping me navigate this wonderful journey of growth and change. Thank you Janet!
Janet has been a very solid grounding energy for me, as I work through and navigate some very challenging things (and people) in my life. It can be easy to get lost in what is a real and what is distorted thought for me. Janet keeps me on track. Thank you for all you do, Janet!
Janet is wonderful!
I adore her. She really listens, and gives helpful tips. I feel lighter after sessions with Janet.
She is amazing
My therapist is very thoughtful and makes me feel heard. I have a difficult time putting walls down, but Janet has such a warm and welcoming energy that I feel safe to express myself. She’s given me exercises that are extremely helpful and applicable to my situation. I am very thankful I was matched with her. I would recommend her to anyone who’s looking for a therapist to help them overcome life challenges.
Janet is supportive and understanding of my individual needs. I really couldn’t have asked for a better a more encouraging therapist.
Janet is amazing. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her. Many thanks!!
She has the same name as my grandmother that passed and I knew that we would click right away. Janet is the best !!!
I absolutely love Janet. I’ve been stuck for quite some time, and since I’ve been meeting with her I finally feel myself moving out of my usual norms. It’s helping me navigate through my anxiety and depression
She is one of the best therapist I’ve had in years- a real helo who actually is interested in helping me and had given me a sense of a light
Janet is wonderful. She is a good listener and very good at aiding you in self discovery.
Another wonderful session and learning opportunity, thank you Janet
Janet has helped me tremendously over the last few months. Her approach of CBT has changed my life. She is very kind and understanding in every situation. You will never feel judged for the problems you might think are strange or wrong. She has so much wisdom but will never talk your ear off. She will let you run the conversation while looking for ways to change your perspective. She gives a lot of validation and will recognize when you are too hard on yourself and help you change your way of looking at it. She gives homework assignments that allow you to reflect and work through in your next session. But, she also understands that you have a life and doesn’t give assignments every session. She is an amazing woman and I am honored to have her as my therapist. I feel I have worked through my worst anxieties and depressions and now we are able to work on self-improvement and goal setting. I would recommend her to anyone dealing with anxiety and depression.
Janet Hardin is amazing, I wouldn’t go with any other therapist I look forward to talking to her every week she’s very kind and profesional and has helped me deal with my tough challenges.
She takes a genuine interest in what is going on with me and I have always left with a smile on my face. I really have felt a huge difference in the few sessions I have had and I am incredibly grateful for her!
She is kind, thoughtful, insightful and incredibly knowledgeable.
I’ve only had one session with Janet so far, but she has helped me tremendously. She provides me with homework to apply between sessions and she’s very open. She doesn’t judge, she tries to really listen to your personal experience without projecting, and within the one session she made me more aware of a few of my habits. I would 100% recommend her for people who struggle with anxiety, panic, ocd or perfectionism. She’s a fantastic therapist and lovely person.
Janet is an absolute treasure and was able to help me progress through my inner conflict by providing sincere feedback and techniques that I will take with me throughout my life. I am eternally grateful!
Janet is so sweet and creates ways for me to understand things that I don’t clearly see and creates a path for me to understand things. I also love the homework she provides me and how she responds throughout the week and checks in with me. I also write in my journal and she makes little comments about the things I write and it helps me remember the things I want to review with her
Dr. Hardin is 1000% the support/sounding board I needed. I’m really grateful for how she’s been able to help me put things into perspective and grow both personally and professionally.
I absolutely love her. She is wonderful. If there was a question on the survey I accidentally put “strongly disagree” to-it was an accident! She always responds to me and I cherish her presence in my life
Janet is very kind and understanding of my personal struggles and has given me guidance on how to navigate in stressful times
Janet has been so helpful! She is very kind and was able to help work with my inner self. She is so kindhearted and gave me so many strategies to help me to be a better person.
Janet is a very experienced therapist who has helped tremendously with managing my anxiety. She shows the highest form of empathy and understanding when helping me work through my own issues. I have never made more progress, in past therapy experiences, than I have with Janet. I would highly recommend her to anyone that suffers from varying forms of anxiety disorders.
She doesn't assume that she understands what I am saying, she rephrases and then clarifies that it's what I meant or that she's on the correct path. I struggle to explain my thoughts and she's very patient and is great at unraveling what it is I am saying. She offers methods outside of our sessions such as workshops or books that are very informative.
Very Nice and caring, warm-hearted and funny! Very helpful to me.
Mrs.Hardin makes me feel heard and understood. She is very patient and understanding with me I would definitely recommend her to colleagues and friends.
Janet is an angel. She understands me and cares for me and really listens. She’s so sweet, I feel like I can get really personal with her and she won’t judge me. She keeps it positive and she’s also very informative and I would definitely love to keep working with her. I love Janet!
