Hello, I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University of Northridge and a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University. During my clinical studies I took a yearlong specialization course in trauma and PTSD. My greatest takeaway was that trauma and emotionally overwhelming events can disrupt the mind-body connection, which may lead hopelessness, disconnection from others, and disconnection from self. Traumatic events can be associated with a loss of trust and safety in the world. Healing from trauma is most possible within healing relationships.

I have worked within the school district, intensive outpatient programs, & residential treatment settings. I have gained experience working with teens, families, couples, LGBTQ issues, and sexual health. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I am passionate about helping others develop a patient and kind relationship with themselves, identifying the root cause of their suffering, & creating meaning in their lives.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
