Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Chelsea has been great!

Reviewed April 2023

I used to be sad every day, now I'm not. I used to be alone not doing much for enjoyment. Now I participate in activities I enjoy and am making acquaintances and friends. I used to be troubled about my marriage. Now I'm pursuing enjoyment and activities for myself despite the circumstances of my marriage, setting boundaries with my husband and accepting my marriage at this stage of my life. I have been a caretaker of two children with disabilities and bogged down for years. My children are grown and I'm finding activities I enjoy and people I enjoy being with. I have an adult daughter, our relationship has been troubled and she's been very troubled. I'm learning ways to help myself concerning her and giving her the responsibility for herself. I've found better ways to look at and be happier now about my own troubled childhhood many years ago. I'm happier since I started better help, feel stronger, can recognize what works for me, and am pursuing and initiating good things for myself.

Chelsea Richardson is an excellent therapist. She has helped me gain clarity on my problems , ways to carry on and solve them . I have many problems and she's helped me with all of them. She has a great way of interpreting what I'm saying and offer help. There's been a couple of times I thought she wouldn't support me based on past experience but she did and it was surprising and refreshing . I highly recommend Chelsea Richardson for relationship problems, life changes, and making friends.

Chelsea Richardson is an excellent therapist. She answers my questions , giving me direction and ways to get better. I really appreciate this approach because therapists usually say " trust your gut, or what do you think?". Chelsea is supportive and to the point. She will often interject a point I had not thought about. I like the texting also. Writing gets to the heart of the matter and I look back over the texts for answers and insights. I highly recommend Chelsea Richardson.

I believe Chelsea Cefalu listens to me and does her best to understand the situation. I love that she offers an online messaging session as it fits in my day and has the most privacy for me. She's patient and kind and really not only listens but encourages me to write as much as I want and as often as I like.

Reviewed September 2020

She was very understanding and was quick to communicate.

Reviewed September 2020

Chelsea was able to listen to me and what I was going through, and referred me to an intake appointment at a facility that has helped me so much. I know it is going to take a lot of work to get to where I want to be to get out of the mental state I have been in for so long. Without Chelsea, I would have never heard of the facility that has been so helpful. I am finally able to see a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel and just gotta keep working to dig myself out of the dark hole I found myself in. She also responds to me so quickly and it means so much to know that she cares and is there for me when and if I need her. She even checks in with me if I haven't responded in some time. I honestly wish I could meet her in person so I could give her a hug for her help! I highly recommend her as a counselor! Thanks Chelsea!
