After trying therapy in a few different forms over the past year, I felt like I was getting nowhere. After a devastating no-show from another therapist when I really needed to talk to someone, I found Benjamin and I am SO grateful that it happened exactly as it did. I have gotten more out of the three 30 minute sessions with him than I did from all of my other work combined. He is gentle and kind, he listens and responds with so much care and thought and has given me actual usable tools to apply in my daily life that have made an astounding difference. I have had 5 sessions with Benjamin so far. From day 1 he was receptive, concise, and inquisitive. He addresses each concern and understands them - he takes notes and reads them back to you which is a great tool to show that he is understanding what I have talked about and worked on; it is also great for self-reflection. He leaves me with exercises/homework which we talk about on the following session, and gives practical tips to address specific behaviors that might be bothering me. Benjamin is always prepared and knows very well what we are working on and uses past conversations to create the full picture. My sessions with him make me feel like I am learning and discovering new things and really make me feel like I am making progress with what I am going through.
