I’ve been working with Lindsay for several months now dealing with a traumatic event in my life and she has been incredibly supportive in helping me through it. She is kind and listens to me and offers support and suggestions on how I can move forward without pushing me to take steps that I’m not yet ready to take, which is important in helping me build trust with her! We have also started some EMDR Therapy, which has brought up some emotional traumas from my childhood that we are working on releasing. I am feeling very hopeful as I am starting to see a path through something that I could not see any way through before I started my sessions with Lindsay.

I am a LCSW and have been in the field for 19 years. I have a bachelors degree in psychology, masters and certification in special education and a masters in social work. I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, in home and school settings. I have also worked with clients with a variety of backgrounds and presenting issues. I take an eclectic approach to my work and treat each case individually so that clients and families get their needs met. I am certified in Trauma Recovery and Empowerment model, trained in EMDR and am always attending trainings so that I can advocate and best meet the needs of the clients I work with.

I’ve just had to switch therapists as my previous therapist suddenly became unavailable. As an anxious person, Lindsay validated that it was difficult to switch therapists mid-treatment and she has made it a very comfortable transition. I feel like I’ve connected well with her. She validates my feelings and my experiences while gently encouraging me to see the reality of the situation before me, which has been difficult for me. She doesn’t push me but she is encouraging. I’m feeling very good about how things are progressing with Lindsay!

I've been working with Lindsay for almost a year, and it's the longest I've ever been with a counsellor. She's so easy to talk to and very nonjudgmental, and she is easy to build a trusting relationship with. She also has a variety of tools and approaches to see what works best for you. I was in a pretty bad state when I began counselling, and my mental health has improved even beyond where it was before I had a "breakdown"! The single issue is that for me scheduling appointments is difficult because I am on the other side of the world, but Lindsay is very accommodating with scheduling issues.

I can't say enough good things about Lindsay. She's been so attentive, caring, patient and wonderful all around. She does guided meditation sessions with me, which has done wonders for my anxiety and healing past traumas (I have plenty of those). She's helped me brainstorm in a very non-judgemental way, providing me with a safe space to share all of my thoughts. Because of the depth of my issues I will likely keep doing therapy sessions for awhile. This is not a "quick fix" for me and I don't look for some sort of an "a-ha" moment that would solve everything at once.. I just want someone to be there who listens and cares, while also being competent and qualified in providing feedback. These qualities are not easy to find in counselors and I had to change a few before I finally found Lindsay. I'm very happy with my choice and grateful for her.

Lindsay is a very caring individual and I was blown away when I came to her seeking help and she immediately put time aside to speak to me on the same day. I mean, she truly saved me that day and I really appreciate her. The 30mins sessions I feel are a little too short. By the time I managed to get everything out of what I've had to go through, there isn't much I can get back outside of having someone to listen and give me reassurance that my feelings are okay. She did offer some great advice on what I could do, I think I'm just wanting more possibilities. More exercises that could help, trigger managing, or things that I could try to do at home to overcome the stress of certain situations. She's incredible and I think because of that it gives me hope so it makes me want to take in more from her. We've only had a few sessions but I believe that she can help me and build up a strong relationship. Thank you Lindsay :)
