Welcome!

I want to first congratulate you on taking the first step, or next step on your journey. I know this journey can be overwhelming and scary at times, and I want you to know I am here to provide support and guidance. I am here to help you navigate through your journey.

My name is Allison Kramer, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in the state of Florida. I received my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I have worked in multiple different settings with multiple different populations. I started my career working in a crisis stabilization hospital, as well as a substance abuse recovery center. I made the move to work for a company that operates similar to a private practice allowing me the ability to work with a broader range of clients ranging from children as young as age 5 to adults into their 60s who were struggling with a range of mental health disorders. These disorders include behavioral challenges, ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, and many more. I was afforded the opportunity with this company to also work specifically on contract with the federal government working with adults on Pre-Trial and Probation regarding mental health and substance abuse challenges. I utilize therapeutic techniques incorporated from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Social Cognitive Therapy.

I am a strong believer that for therapy to be as beneficial as possible for the client the client feels comfortable and is able to build a therapeutic relationship with the therapist. To me, this initial foundation is one of the main keys to therapy being successful. I believe therapy has to be tailored to the individual. I take an individualistic approach when working with clients based on the needs of the client and the identified goals.

I believe no struggle, challenge, or stressor is too small or too big for me to help you navigate. Life is, and can be, very challenging! I believe you deserve to feel in control and find peace and happiness in your life!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Allison has been extremely helpful over the past several months that I’ve been using BetterHelp. There have been several times that I’ve thought about quitting therapy simply due to financial reasons but I feel so much better after a session with her so I’ve made therapy work for me as best as I can. Having someone to listen to me and not judge or make me feel bad for how I feel is an amazing feeding and I’m so glad I found her!

Reviewed September 2020

Allison Kramer has been very responsive to my distress what mostly impresses me with her is that we allowed me to open the dialogue I didn't get the sense she had a plan approach on how to help me and I appreciate that, so I feel like a individual.
