Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Lowell has great experience in his field to help in my situation
Down to earth straight forward counselling
Lowell is such an easy person to talk to, I didn’t expect that I’ll be able to open up to him with my life so soon. I appreciate his methods and the recommendations he has been giving me so far.
Lowell is patient and kind, but he is also direct as he draws on his years of experience. I appreciate his expertise and wisdom, and I have gained much insight in just a couple sessions with him so far.
He does a great job.
What can I say? He has helped me to see a lot of things about my situation and step by step am going through, leasing and handling things in a better way. God bless u and ur family.
Lowell has been very understanding and compassionate. In my short time of counselling he has helped me a lot.
Lowell is very kind, knowledgeable with a nice touch of directness. He will guide, support and encourage you through the process. I felt super relaxed to be vulnerable and to open up with Lowell. He is very experienced in his field, and that's why he doesn't shy away from trauma based topics. Lowell is an anchor with heavy topics, and with love he points you to the direction of healing. I absolutely recommend the sessions with him. Also, I first requested a woman, and connected to Lowell was a leap of faith for me, but real soon I realized this connection was a real blessing!
I've had a number of counsellors, both face-to-face and online, and Lowell has helped me make the most progress. He is empathetic and supportive, but he's direct in getting to the heart of the issues. He helped me to find firm footing to move forward with my issues. I definitely recommend him as a counsellor.
Lowell is amazing and very personable. I cannot recommend him enough !
Has experience that makes his advice easy to take as someone who generally does not respect therapists. I respect him and his help. I'm not sure how I'd be doing without him
Lowell has be an invaluable tool to start healing and getting my life on track.
Lowell is able to deal with men that have not lived a soft life. He has some prior experience with inmates , corrections etc. This plus the wealth of marital know-how is a great combo.
The man has seen everything and I recommend if you're a man that works high stress or has a record
We worked together for about 2 months, weekly calls. He is a very competent, highly adjustable therapist that not only helped me to use my awareness and coaching skills on myself but contributed with great questions, stories from life, metaphors, thought-provoking books which I read. We went through a rough patch as well almost a breaking point for the therapist-client relation but that turned out to be the sign that we are onto something. Some deeply rooted issues came up and began to resolve themselves when we addressed them. Like co-dependence, trauma brain, perfectionism, etc. Lots of things were easing and dissolving as we approach them and shed the light on those. I feel like I eventually arrived to the clarity of what was my problem and better so - what is the way forward for me. That wouldn't have been possible without our work together. After nearly 2 months of weekly calls with Lowell, I am ready to finish the therapy and stand on my own feet enabled and equipped in all I need to self-regulate my negative states and become the best version of myself. Thanks, Lowell. Great work.
Lowel , unlike the last 3 therapists I've tried, is actually on time and focused on our sessions. With his background I respect his opinions and am more likely to listen to his advice. The advice I've been given has already worked for me. Lowel has offered alternatives to our current arrangement to help with my wife in a couples therapy and this flexibility is great.
I have only had two sessions with Lowell but each time I speak with him I gain insight. He is very respectful as kind. He has already shared sources and exercises that have been useful. I highly recommend Lowell and the Better Help experience as well.
Lowell Lewis has been an amazing therapist. It’s easy to talk to him about my personal issues. He listens, empathises and gives advices suitable to your situation.
Lowell is done to earth, informative, funny, fun, and most importantly direct. He wants to listen, help, and encourage a change in behavior to benefit me. He has talked with me through difficult memories. He is a wonderful therapist with proven experience. It's like taking to someone you know, but have never met. He is kind, caring, and honest. I cannot thank him enough for the help and listening ear. Thank you Lowell. K. Ash
Lowell is so easy to talk to and our sessions always leave me in a great mood. He's lighthearted but wise and helps put things into perspective. He's also very understanding of my busy schedule and doesn't pressure me to schedule sessions, which makes me want to schedule them even more. Thank you Lowell for being a friend in my times of need!
Absolutely an amazing counselor with a lot of knowledge and experience in so many different areas. I have enjoyed working with Lowell and would recommend him to everyone.
I am extremely grateful to be able to sift through my concerns with Lowell. He has a great way of being able to see things differently and the complete picture. Thank you!
Lowell is wise, funny, and so helpful. He's helped me deal with long-untended trauma gently and powerfully.
Really believe it was destiny meeting Lowell here on BetterHelp and I say that because of how much he has helped me understand myself,my relationships and improve my life. He is kind, caring, engaging, an amazing listener that is so generous in his help and guidance. He gets me to really think hard about situations and to reflect and to look at ways to improve. It has been super liberating to be able to speak truthfully about my thoughts, fears and flaws - and Lowell has shown me how much my upbringing has so much to do with it all. As he calls it, I just need 'to have new tools for my toolbox' and implement new strategies, and thought processes to break the cycle and heal. I cannot thank Lowell enough for everything he has thought me - I really see him as a friend and I feel so lucky to have had this time with him because I have grown so much (I feel 10feet tall after our sessions!) because of him. There is more inner work to be done but after 2 months, I feel more at peace than ever before.
Lowell’s vast experience, astute observations and supportive nature make him an amazing counselor and an even better friend. Talking to Lowell is just like catching up with a good pal - easy to talk to, enjoyable, and always leaves you feeling great! Definitely recommend.
I have only been working with Lowell for the last month. But, it's the first time in my life that I feel like someone truly cares about me and what I have gone through. There are literally not enough words to describe all the things I want to say, but I just want to end with the fact that I am thankful he is in my life now. THANK YOU!
I enjoy Lowell’s company. Even though I’ve just started working with him, having a conversation with him is as easy as talking to a family member. I like his sense of humour and appreciate his honesty. He is really great and supportive and I appreciate all of his work.
Lowell is amazing. He’s helped me so much with my confidence and having faith in myself!! He’s the best.
Lowell has been absolutely fantastic, supportive, understanding, and responsive. He has helped my develop tools to cope with my challenges. I am deeply grateful for his insight and encouragement.
Lowell is always supportive
Extremely helpful! Always took my counselling at my pace, and made sure i was comfortable with everything while allowing me to put all my problems in the open. He gave me many easy to use strategies that I use daily to help cope with anxiety, and PTSD.
Counselling was always a daunting thought to me, but Lowell made it very welcoming and open. I felt like I was speaking to a friend than a stranger. And that made the experience even better. I felt like I was finally being listened to and not judged for what came out of my mouth. I could express myself and be met with helpful resources and advice. He's very accommodating and understanding. Responses to messages timely and sessions are always on time. I would recommend him to anyonen needing help.
No words can describe how purely amazing this man is at what he does. I have struggled for so long to find someone who is as patient, understanding and insightful as he is. I trust him 100% as a professional and I feel he gives 110% back into what he does. Thank you for changing my life Lowell. Every session with you makes me a more confident/empowered woman. Lowell is the right choice for anyone.
I look forward to our weekly sessions. He has helped me discover things about myself that I never would have know. I feel much more confident and happy after our sessions. Thank you Lowell.
This is my very first counseling ever. I truly feel a great sense of relief and look forward to continuing therapy.
Lowell is very personable and listens with a keen and introspective style. I feel heard and appreciate his recommendations.
