More about Patricia

Hello! Welcome to my profile! I'm so happy you're here looking for a qualified therapist to support and assist you with your mental health goals! I believe everyone should prioritize their mental health and should take care of it like they do their physical health! I try to think of therapy like jogging or a spin class for the soul.

A little about me, my name is Patricia but I go by Trish. I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have almost 15 years of social work experience. The bulk of my experience is in health care social work, I have 10 years experience in Nursing Home Social Work and almost 5 years in Acute Care Hospital Social Work. In these roles I have been able to support many patients and families through the changes of life in the aging process, placement of loved ones, acceptance of new roles, role loss, and grief over the loss of a loved one. I have had the privilege to sit at the bedside of many people holding their hands or their loved ones hands as they make tough decisions and even prepare to transition from this world to the next. I am also proficient in career coaching and motivating people to achieve their goals both personally and professionally. I have held managerial and leadership roles and have a passion for growing people both personally and professionally to be their absolute best.

My therapeutic style is supportive and encouraging while also helping you navigate and identify patterns and behaviors that may need to be modified in order to have the optimum result for your life. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help get my clients where they want to be.

I am comfortable working with all types of people and have experience with LGBTQ+ population, multiethnic groups, people with life alerting and life defining illnesses, and people of all religious backgrounds. I have a special place in my heart for essential workers and healthcare workers during these challenging times of COVID 19. No matter the reason you decided to read this today, please know I am already so proud of you already for taking the first step and exploring resources out there to enhance and improve your mental health. Whatever you decide to do next know that you are cared for and supported, and if I seem like a good match for you send me a message! I can't wait to work with you!
