Maybe you stumbled here hoping someone would understand the trials you're going through. Are you at your wit's end with your spouse or other family member? Does life feel like you're "swimming in molasses"? Let me help. I'm here to listen, ask the right questions, and let you strategize a course of action.

I have a special place in my heart for couples going through rough times because of communication breakdown or betrayal of trust. I'd love to work with your teen to find out what motivates him/her. Let's explore sexual orientation issues safely, honestly.

I've been a counselor for 7+ years and still operate in private practice in Georgia. I operate from an integrated approach of blending the best-researched practices of psychology with my Christian faith. I'm not here to judge or preach, but to show compassion especially where people have been "burned" by the church.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

I've only had 2 sessions with Steve and haven't yet reached out via messager, but hes a very kind guy. I like that he's got a Christian perspective too and that we can talk about God. I like that he doesn't just listen to me like other counselors I've had before, but offers suggestions and healthy tips.

I've been with Steve for about 6 months now. I started therapy because of one issue and expecting one result. What I got was a deeper experience focused around needs that I did not know I had. I have gained a more robust understanding of myself and underlying issues that manifested as patterns of behavior over years. I have been taken on a journey that has often been difficult and unpleasant but always with movement toward a more centered and healthy version of myself. Steve has a calling for helping people uncover the best versions of themselves in the most perfect and professional ways.

Dr. Hammond is everything that I could ever want in a counselor. He listens to me, without judgement. He is honest, direct, and sympathetic. I really like the fact that he can offer me support from both a spiritual and psychological standpoint to whatever is troubling me. Lastly, it's obvious that he is very intelligent, but he remains humble and never once do I feel as if he is talking down to me. Highly recommend.

So far Steve has been great. We only have had one session but it went well from my perspective. I've also had to change/postpone a session and Steve was very gracious and responsive.

This has been a great experience! Steve has been patient, knowledgeable and provides quality input. I look forward to our sessions!

Reviewed January 2021

Only had a couple of sessions so far, but I've been impressed with his previous reading/research on the issues I've discussed, as well as his familiarity with the terminology and lexicon of the topics I've brought up. I haven't had to stop and explain things along the way while I lay out my issues, which saves so much time and energy on my part.

Steve does an amazing job at listening and relating to his clients. I feel supported, I feel listened to, and I don't feel pressured to talk about more than I am comfortable with. Talking to Steve feels like talking to a trusted friend, which is exactly what I need right now. I'd recommend Steve to anyone, he's the best counselor I've ever had.

Steve is wonderful and patient- and also practical. He also made no comment when I got teary eyes once which I very much appreciate because I think he knew that’s what I would prefer.
