Talia is maybe one of the best people I’ve ever met in my life. I’ve worked with other counsellors in the past but have never had such an amazing experience. Right away Talia made me feel comfortable and for that reason I haven’t been afraid to share anything with her. She has helped me realized my worth as an individual and has helped me through countless situations, always with a positive attitude. She has shown me how to use many tools that I have found to be extremely effective when dealing with my anxiety & panic disorder. I’m happier than I have been in a really long time, potentially the happiest I’ve been in my life, and while I know she would say I have done that for myself. There is no doubt in my mind that it is because of her support & guidance that I have been able to come so far. Talia truly is the coolest most dope best counsellor I could have ever asked for, and she always has a great solution to whatever predicament I find myself in. She is compassionate, caring and there is never a doubt in my mind that I have her full attention and that she is really listening to me. She is super flexible with scheduling and she has a very nice dog. Talia is seriously incredible, her energy is so vibrant & radiant, she is kind hearted, level headed, patient and funny (when appropriate). I can’t say enough good things about her and how much she has helped me. If there was a star rating, I would be mad if I could only give her 5 stars as she constantly goes above and beyond my expectations of what a counsellor should be.

Hey! I'm Talia Auslin and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Atlanta, Georgia. A little bit more about me; I am a School Counselor at a K-12 school and have over 8 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have my Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Substance Abuse as well as my Masters in Professional Counseling from the University of Georgia. Most of my counseling expertise includes working with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, family/relationship issues, life transitions, and self-esteem. In addition to my counseling profession, I am also very passionate about social justice and LGBTQ+ rights, and I myself identify within the community.
In times where you might be feeling alone, helpless or hopeless, it is vital to have a safe-space to be able to share your thoughts, feelings, and emotions with someone that is willing to help, support, and validate your current reality – and if that is what you’re looking for, then I am your person. When working with you, my goal is to meet your individual needs by using a non-judgmental, person-centered, multicultural, and holistic approach. I primarily use evidence-based techniques including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Counseling, and Mindfulness.
I consider myself to be a very open-minded, progressive, supportive, and empathetic individual that wants to genuinely understand you. Through our collaborative partnership, I’m here to help you each step of the way to becoming you again, or re-discovering who you want to be in this world. It’s an ongoing journey for all of us, but through the right support, the process is worth it. You got this!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Talia has been amazing for helping me identify my feelings and work on coping with my anxiety. She provided me with terminology and skills that I know will continue to help me grow and live in the present moment. While the world around me feels chaotic sometimes, my weekly meetings with Talia were grounding and informative. She listens and took the time to really learn who I am. I would recommend her to anyone seeking advice on managing anxiety and coping with emotions.
