I once had a nightmare and I squealed for my therapist in my sleep. Alicia is nice and very fundamental. I feel like I’m working on a new canvas every session, like a painter, and I’m grateful for Alicia’s input.

Alicia went as far as getting approved through my companies EAP program when I thought I was going to have to pause services due to my situation. She is incredibly supportive, empathetic, and I have been thankful to continue services with her.
More about Alicia
- 26 years' experience
- Female
- LCSW, LMHC, LICSW
I have been working in the mental health field since 1995. I obtained my LCSW, in Idaho, in 2004. My LICSW was obtained in 2009 and my LMHC was obtained in 2001. Both of these licensures are in Washington. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns including ADHD, anger management, OCD, Eating Disorder, Trauma, Anxiety and Depression. I also have experience working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
I have completed the Ramsey Finacial Coach master's training and am comfortable discussing financial concerns that may lead to anxiety or stress.
I believe it is important for an individual seeking services to be able to participate in creating their treatment plan for therapy in order to assure that their goals are met. It is my opinion that a therapist should be open minded so that individuals are comfortable discussing difficult topics.
I look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
Thank you,
Alicia

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Incredibly nice and helpful!
I’ve been meeting with Alicia for almost a year now. It has been the hardest year of my life and I definitely feel bad without Alicia‘s guidance, my healing journey would drastically be different. It’s so important to be able to talk comfortably and trust the guidance you are receiving and I feel that with Alicia.
Alicia was my very first therapist and I could not have asked for a more positive, productive, and enjoyable experience. She helped me achieve and grow a tremendous amount in our sessions together and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone!
She is and amazing person!
Alicia has been very supportive in truly understanding my struggles and needs. She listens intently and offers suggestions that allow me to pursue the best course of action to overcome my challenges. She doesn’t only offer what I want to hear, but what I need.
I feel heard and supported when meeting with Alicia and our sessions have been helpful to me.
Alicia is great! She’s sensitive to my needs and worries. It’s been 11 months since I started seeing her, and I have made progress on my goals I have been struggling with for a long time. Have a king way to go, but yeah for progress!
Alicia is wonderful! Super helpful and very nice!

Alicia is a great listener and offers a variety of ideas to approach issues. She allows me to resolve conflicts and challenges my thinking. I love how she gives me different tips and tricks for potential social situations and doesn’t ever make me feel judged or anxious. I highly recommend therapy with Alicia.

She is amazing!
She’s always checking in! So sweet!
In just the short time I've been with Alicia, she's already helped me so much. She is so kind and understanding, we have conversations as if we've known each other for years - she not only makes me feel so heard and supported but has helped me navigate all of my emotions and thoughts with healthy, sustaining ways that ground me when my anxiety and overthinking steps in. I'm so looking forward to continuing the journey with Alicia as my counselor.
Absolutely one of the best therapists I’ve talked to so far. Highly recommended!
Alicia is awesome. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to finally have found a therapist that actually listens and provides Helpful insightful advice rather than your typical “just try thinking this way” bs. I’d totally recommend her to anyone looking for a laid back yet professional, and wise therapist that actually cares.
She has been wonderful. I’ve made a lot of progress in a short period of time.
Alicia was really wonderful to work with. I've been struggling quite a bit with depression, anxiety, and a lot of overwhelming life changes. She was always open to discussing whatever was important and on my mind for that week, available through messaging and encouraged me to contact her if I needed some support between sessions, and even checked in if she knew things were particularly difficult. I feel comfortable talking with her, and she has helped me look at things from a different perspective and ground my thoughts and emotions. I greatly appreciate how she went above and beyond to help me find support systems, and methods to work through things and ease my anxiety. I would definitely work with her again if needed, and highly recommend her!
I have not even had a session with her and yet she is already making my life easier in dealing with these people. She is a special person.
Alicia has been helpful. She responds to my messages. She seems educated about things that people need help with.
Alicia is really great. She listens, provides honest feedback and is always eager to work with me. My mind bounces around a lot and she is able to help me wrangle my thought in for productive sessions.
Very attentive, great listening skills and very helpful in giving advice
Insightful, professional, and Down-to-earth, Alicia Powell is everything I look for when shopping for a therapist. She checks in on me often and reminds me to utilize our many methods of communication to keep in touch if any issues or questions arise between sessions.
