Hello,
Pleasure to meet you! My name is Christina Nuñez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the state of Florida. I am also a proud alumni of Florida International University. I have experience working with military and veteran populations all ranging from young adolescents to older adults. I provide individual and group therapy focused on a variety of mental health concerns to include: Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I also have experience working with adults in building coping skills for managing stressors, anger management, motivation, implementing mindfulness based practices for self care, cognitive behavioral strategies, supportive therapy, and trauma informed/patient centered care.
My counseling style is very warm, empathetic, interactive, and honest. My main role as a therapist is to assist my patients in recognizing their strengths and utilizing them to better manage their mental health and personal stressors. I believe in the innate resiliency and strengths of the individual and the power that one has to tackle their own mental health and engage in recovery with the help of the therapeutic process. I have a true passion in helping and empowering adults and young adults to tackle life's stressors and be in better control of their mental health. It takes courage in making the first step in reaching out for help. If you are ready to take the first step in empowering yourself and taking charge of your mental health, I am here to support you and answer any questions you may have!
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
