I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida with over 20 years of experience. I have worked with a wide variety of people and concerns. I have experience in working with depression, anxiety and relationship challenges. I have significant experience working with clients who experienced trauma or emotional abuse as children.
My therapy style is collaborative and client centered. I believe each person is unique and has their own story, their own challenges and their own needs. I approach therapy from a humanistic perspective and use a variety of methods to help my clients. I have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I am open to working with my clients using the tools and methods they find most useful.
I enjoy collaborating with my clients to help them find solutions to challenges, improve their well-being and support them in their journey.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She is a great fit and a wonderful therapist
Karen is an incredible listener and does an excellent job of asking questions to help me find the answers I am seeking.
I enjoy working with her, she can lift the darkest longest lasting moods so naturally and easily. She listens well and provides good advice and coping skills.
She genuinely care. No need to say more than that.
Karen Phillips is a very caring and supportive therapist. She has a very calm and understanding way about her which makes her very easy to talk to and to feel very comfortable around.
Karen has been an important support to me since the passing of my spouse. I highly recommend her.
Enjoying working with Ms. Karen!
She is my first ever therapist, but dare I say, a very damn good one. Karen is an amazing listener who pays very good attention to everything I tell her. She helps me identify what's good or bad for me when I'm not sure of it. Always validates my progress towards healing and becoming a better person.
My situation is very complicated and she understands what my needs are to help me.
Karen has been very helpful in dealing with my anxiety and work issues along with every other problem in my life! She is very empathetic and non-judgemental and is always happy to help me find what to say when I don't know what to talk about.
Therapy with Karen is extremely helpful to me during this most difficult time in my life. I am so glad that I reached out. I have never done "online therapy" before and have found Karen to be an important resource and support.
I've had such a good, positive and healing experience with Karen (and already in such a short space of time!) And I feel so glad and privileged to be able to get help from her and on betterhelp. I want to continue my health journey with Karen - and she's already helped put me towards a better track. She is really respectful, kind, understanding, smart and honest - and also socially conscious - which I really need in a therapist. She is on track to become the best therapist I've ever had (and I look forward to continue with her, for hopefully a long time). Thank you Karen - who is (which she said herself too) not at all like the current stereotypes of Karens (which I asked her thoughts on about haha - she also has a nice sense of humour). I highly reccommend Karen, she has Care/Caring in her name - and that is what is true.
Karen is amazing. I feel very lucky and grateful that Better Help helped me find her.
I have been working with Karen for over a month now, and I feel really good about what I've been able to share and unpack so far. Karen is a true professional - she is a great listener, very empathetic, and remembers what I've spoken about in past sessions which means a lot. I feel like I got really lucky being matched with Karen.
Karen has been very helpful in my journey thus far!
