Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

From the start of our very first session, she was able to make me feel safe and comfortable. I had a lot of anxiety surrounding therapy, but after a few sessions, I was no longer anxious and actually looked forward to talking. She has helped me work through so much- past trauma, current stressors, relationships, etc. I really believe the work she does is life changing, and I am very grateful. Thank you, Bethany!

Bethany has been such a helpful and compassionate presence over the last few months. She takes time to listen and has caring and thought-provoking responses. She is quick to respond with any concerns I have in between sessions, and has gone out of her way to check in on me when I’m having a rough time. I feel incredibly supported and seen! She has been so helpful in processing a lot of things and is skillful enough to unearth issues and areas needing work that I wasn’t even aware existed.

Reviewed February 2022

Bethany gives validation, which for someone that struggles with anxiety and/or depression is so valuable. She listens and provides thoughtful feedback that really helps.

Reviewed February 2022

I went into this experience hesitant... how can someone help me but also in a way that I wanted, which was/is not to be face to face because I personally let more out when I'm writing and so texting has really worked out for me.. it's based off of my schedule and when I'm able to respond.. it has truly been a blessing in disguise for me as far as being able to open up and also do it in my own time at my own pace and not fear the face-to-face judgemental that I put upon myself. I feel pretty comfortable with her and would be more willing to do a face to face now..
