Hello, My name is Cate. I've been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2001. I have my Master's in Counseling from Webster University and have 20 years of experience in a variety of settings from a private hospital to community mental health center to a substance use treatment center. What I found was people have an instinct towards wellness when they are treated with dignity and respect. Each of us has a story to tell and generally want to move towards a positive outcome.
It takes strength and determination to make change in one's life. It's been an important lesson that I've learned to honor the tools that have a brought a person to the point where that person is now and I'll meet you where you are and together look at new ways to achieve the goals you wish to accomplish, increase functioning and explore new perspectives in a safe, non-judgmental environment, with the understanding that you direct the experience.
I use a client-centered approach, I'm versed in cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and narrative therapy. I work with teens and adults dealing with depression, stress, anxiety, substance use, life changes, grief issues, bipolar depression, ADHD, parenting, conflict/anger and relationship issues.
I would be privileged to work with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Cate is great!!
Best therapist in my opinion we’ve built a relationship over the last year and she’s gotten me through so many big changes in my life I’m forever grateful for her!
Catherine has helped me through so much in my life the past few years and she's ultimately helped me grow up. I get excited anytime she responds because then I feel complete. I couldn't imagine life without her and she's very smart and knowledgeable. She remembers everything about me and always suggests solutions that are best for me and makes sure I'm protected in every way ♥️
The most genuine interaction I have had with a therapist. I honestly felt comfortable talking about any of my thoughts and struggles.
I've had 2 visits with Catherine and they are nothing short of amazing. She listens, gives great advice, and explains things to me so that I actually understand them. She's been a powerful person to have on my side.
Catherine took me on as a client when I was at the very lowest point of my life and we’ve worked together through many of my issues together. She is so sweet and understanding. I rave about her to everyone who asks me about therapy because finding a therapist that is a match for you is truly a hit and miss sometimes.
Cate has been a great part of my life. I never have to remind her of a single part of my life she's always right on track and remembers every single thing. She'ds helped me with my past, present, and future and I don't know where I'd be without her.
I feel that not having her in my life things would be a lot worse than they are. The first therapist I've ever had that listens that cares.
Cate is experienced and finds key points to create new growth paths!
I have only had a few sessions with Catherine, but the breakthroughs I have made have been tremendous. I feel listened to, free from judgement and safe. Our live chat sessions have become the highlight of my week and I can't imagine my life now without Catherine or betterhelp. She's absolutely phenomenal at what she does, and I hope she sees this so she knows just what a positive impact she's having on her clients.
Catherine has been great she gets straight to the point in a very mature and confident way and I really need that in a therapist. Someone who doesn’t sound like they’re questioning their answer and she always points out things in my conversation that I didn’t even realize was an issue so it’s helped me dig deeper into my issues.
After being in counseling standard counseling for so many years since my childhood I finally feel I have someone he was hearing me and helping me to understand what is going on with me. Well I don't condone traditional counseling if you don't have the time and you can't do it better helps counseling system really does work. I love having the journal and it's making me really take accountability and who I am and where my life is going now. If I could have done online counseling years ago trust me I would stay with it.
She’s very nice and I love when she asks questions to get a better understanding.
Dr. Kluge has been a fair, insightful, experienced, and engaged counselor. She provides new perspectives and challenges so reframing is achieved and breakthroughs can flow! She is great in helping to see the holistic picture!
I have only had one session with Catherine but I was very amazed at how much I opened up to hear and felt very comfortable. I was very skeptical about seening a counselor. I left the session with great insight. Can't wait for my 2nd session
