I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients in a variety of settings. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, as well a a Master's of Education degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Montevallo, in Montevallo, Alabama. l later completed my Doctor of Education degree at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

I believe in not giving up on clients, and equally important, not allowing clients to give up on themselves. I utilize motivational interviewing to identity and enhance the strength of my client while exploring ways in which those strengths can move my client toward improved health and happiness.

Dr. Crowson is extremely patient and understanding of topics that I am nervous and hesitant to speak about. She makes it easy to talk about things that I would otherwise keep to myself. I appreciate that she keeps a smile on her face and never shows any signs of judgment, which Is something I fear when talking about myself. She is very calming and helps me talk through issues and understand solutions without it feeling forced.
