Hi,

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North and South Carolina and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I have over 25 years of experience working with children, young adults, and families who have sought support for a variety reasons (ie stress, anxiety, life changes, parenting issues, ADHD, Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, caregiver issues, etc). My experience across the school and clinical settings will be an asset to our working relationship. I am originally from the mid-west. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University and my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago. I have resided in the Carolinas for the past 15 years.

My goal is to support you in your journey by providing you with a sounding board as well as additional tools and knowledge so you may accomplish the goals that you hope to achieve. During sessions we will take time to learn about each other, build a working relationship, and establish realistic and achievable goals. Life is a journey with problems to solve and lessons to learn. Most of all though, life is a journey with experiences to enjoy.

I look forward to supporting you in your journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I have been working with Amy on and off for over a year. She listens thoroughly, is compassionate, and provides different methods for me to work on to improve my anxiety. Talking to her has helped me to make progress on areas of my life that have been stressful for me as well. I highly recommend her not just for her expertise, but for the way she is able to connect with people.
