I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina with over 8 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients from a broad range of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, family dynamic distresses and poor communication styles, just to name a few.
My general counseling approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Biblical Counseling. I tend to combine the aforementioned approaches with other theoretical approaches, thus utilizing an Eclectic approach.
It is my goal to create a safe, accepting, and comfortable environment, which is conducive to allow you, the client, to experience an enhanced sense of self understanding and acceptance. Thus, creating a mutually desirable relationship focusing on goal setting and developing practical skills needed to deal with complicated feelings and situations.
Finally, aside from being a counselor I am a Christian and am available to discuss your presenting issues from a faith perspective.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Always good to talk to
Robin was so extremely helpful to me as I was going through the ending of a relationship. He was kind and validating of my emotions and gave me strategies to work through the hard times. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for someone to help them through some low, hard circumstances.
Robin is a person who respects, hears and offers his own advice in such a personable manner that it can speak to all.
He's a great therapist. He knows his stuff.
I only had one session with him, but I could tell that Robin really cared about helping me with my problems. Very memorable session, very passionate individual. Highly recommend.
Robin is caring and understanding. He knows what he is doing and does it well.
Very courteous and listen well to all my concerns
He is a great therapist.
Two thumbs up
Robin provides me both a safe place to explore my thoughts and feelings, and suggestions for how to handle my thoughts and feelings. He provides excellent advice to me and doesn’t judge me.
Robin was just what I needed at just the right time. His approach is very personal and felt individualized. He has a way of helping you work through feelings you may not even realize you are experiencing. Even though we were virtual, it felt like we were in the same room and his care and compassion was evident.
