Lauren is kind, trauma informed and works consistently to get to know her client and build a relationship rather than being another caseload. She is a professional friend. After several sessions I could see she’d gotten to know me enough to help guide some of my symptoms/worries into productive thoughts, habits and encouragement. I am better off having had Lauren as my therapist.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I started using BetterHelp a few months ago. I’ve been in therapy before, but never virtually. The first therapist I was assigned was not well aligned with me. After an awkward dumping lol I redid my survey and was matched with Lauren. She is exceptionally kind and exudes a genuine enthusiasm for what she does. I can tell she cares, is determined to keep up with the flurry of details, and lets me run the session while guiding me to conclusions, resolutions and coping strategies that may be useful. I don’t feel she is overly clinical or sterile in her approach. She doesn’t rush me. She doesn’t bring faith into our sessions, something I’ve struggled with in past therapist/client relationships. I’m excited for each session. It’s like talking to a friend.
Super helpful right off the bat. Asks great questions. Thoughtful and insightful.
l was ambivalent about phone therapy, but Lauren helped me feel comfortable from the start. I had been dealing with several traumatic experiences (past & present) and l felt like she gave me needed direction & tools to feel like l was coping vs drowning. She is readily availble, empathetic, & gives me options on my perspective. I am very grateful for her!!
l have been going through a very difficult time (including the death of my father). I hadn't had any sessions with Lauren until l felt like l was in the midst of a crisis. I doubted if l would find the help l needed. From the first session sh seems to address the multiple issues l'm dealing with. She is compassionate, so l feel cared for. She is genuine, honest able to present suggestions in a constructive way. She helps me look at my issues from other vantage points to see that there might be other ways to approach them. I am very grateful to have her as my therapist!!
