Hello, I'm Lisa. I am an Integrative Counsellor and an Accredited member of the BACP with 7 years experience in private practice. I draw on different theories and approaches depending on what you need from our time together. I place an important emphasis on the quality of the relationship between the two of us. I follow your lead and pace, what is important to you, what do you feel they need to address, what has worked before, and what works now.

I may use some psychoeducational diagrams, and in a session I may encourage you to engage in some creative exercises to help explore your experience at a deeper level.

I have a keen interest and knowledge of neuroscience, which I incorporate into my work with clients. I find this a particularly powerful way of helping my clients understand how they came to be who they are, how they respond to things, and that neuroplasticity allows for the potential of real change.

I specialise in bereavement and trauma related bereavement, Infant loss, life changing events, anxiety and depression.

I would describe myself as a caring and compassionate counsellor, and ready to support you.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I was very skeptical about restarting therapy as I haven’t always found it the most helpful, but I have been working with Lisa for a few weeks now and every time I’m trying to discuss something she sees through what I’m trying to explain and helps me to understand why I am feeling the way that I am. I have found working with her very rewarding and she also puts me at ease to speak freely and comfortably about anything. I would strongly recommend her to any one in need of a very good therapist.
