Welcome!

Hello, I’m Kate, and I would love to help you, providing you with an integrative model of therapy tailored to you. Trained in counselling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and meditation services I aim to provide a safe space and tools to help you live a more peaceful life.

I work with adults on both a short-term and long-term basis, assisting you to become more mind calm and self accepting, feeling more in control of everyday life events, clearing out intrusive thoughts for your positive well-being.

You are the expert of your life implying it is up to you to make the changes you need to help effect change; I can be your cheerleader and navigator to help you along the way. If you feel like "everything is going wrong", often it's your relationship to that "everything going wrong" that may keep you stuck; let's unpack that and help you visualise a happier future.

When you choose to work with me, you're entering a nurturing and confidential space to explore thoughts, emotions, and life's challenges. This collaborative journey aims to bring about new perspectives and a deeper understanding of yourself, fostering greater self-awareness.

Imagine it as building a bridge; we'll navigate from your current state to where you aspire to be, with me as your companion.

My approach is integrative, drawing from various methods to tailor sessions to your needs. This may include worksheets, diaries, which often help when words don’t come easily, giving deep insight.

Meditation stands as a potent tool for finding inner peace and nurturing mindfulness. Through meditation, you'll unlock the potential for a calmer, more harmonious interaction with life's ups and downs. It equips you with the ability to navigate our ever-changing, often chaotic world with greater serenity.

I appreciate what it feels like to suffer from anxiety and relationship issues.  My aim is to help you to feel heard, acknowledged and give you the tools you need.

I offer a safe, compassionate and confidential space for you to explore what you are going through and through gentle enquiry assist you to feeling more empowered.

My aim is to:

Provide a safe confidential space

Help you identify what you wish to gain from therapy

Provide you with tools to help you when you are feeling overwhelmed

Work collaboratively always keeping in mind this is YOUR time

Provide solution focused approach to help you live the life you want

* Discover who YOU really are underneath the layers

* Help you to gain insight into the issues that are causing distress

* Aim to help change what you can and accept what you cannot

I enjoy the flexibility of the platform that BetterHelp offers and hope you do as well.

Get in touch today and and let’s see how we can work together.

I qualified with a psychology degree with the Open University in 2006, supplementing this with counselling and psychotherapy training, followed by hypnotherapy in 2013, and currently undertaking a meditation course.

I have worked in placements and private practice since 2008.   I am committed to regular monthly supervision and continuing professional development.

SMALL PRINT: Please give at least 24 hours notice before cancelling a session and also if you find we do not work well together, a quick note is very helpful!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
