Recent reviews

Cheryl is kind, considerate and attentive. I haven’t been using BetterHelp for very long but already it has helped me a lot. Cheryl has given me some tools that definitely helped loads and I have felt comfortable so I can be as honest as possible without judgement. Still only early doors for me on this journey but it’s been so helpful thus far.

Welcome!

My name is Cheryl.

I am a therapist licensed in the UK. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, stress, low self-esteem, gender dysmorphia, identity, sexuality.

How I work,

I like to think that my therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. So don't worry if you haven't done therapy before and feel a bit unsure about how things work. Just think of it as a safe space to talk and explore what ever you need to in the moment. I offer tools and strategies to help with a number of different issues. I am also mindful that not one size fits all and will always strive to help you find the right fit for you.

My experience,

I work at a GP surgery, school, youth counselling agency, in private practise, and online with Betterhelp. So I have gained some good experience working with both adults and teenagers. I also attend regular training and workshops monthly to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

A bit about me,

I decided to become as a counsellor because I have a real passion for helping people and have also walked a difficult path at times in my own life. I feel this has enabled me to be an empathic listener. I also keep in mind that we are all different and don't all experience the same journey in life. I value difference and diversity in the counselling room.

If you feel that I might be the right counsellor for you then I am more than happy to help!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. Cheryl has been a great listener and support throughout our therapy sessions. She gave me the space to talk, get emotional, and was supportive. I feel like a new person at the end of our group of sessions, thank you.

Cheryl has been a great listener during our live sessions and has provided eye opening insights based on the few appointments we've had. All the while being a beacon of hope and light for me when things feel hopeless and dark.
