There are times in our lives when we all may encounter difficulties and challenges, feel overwhelmed, stuck or find ourselves struggling with our experiences. You don’t need to cope alone. I offer a calm and confidential space where you can feel safe to talk and feel heard without judgement. Through counselling I can help support you to explore and work through whatever you are experiencing and to find a way forward.
I am a professionally qualified Person-Centred Therapeutic Counsellor, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I work in an integrative and creative way to tailor my approach to suit the individual needs of my clients.
I am a naturally compassionate and empathetic person, with a caring and considerate nature. I am passionate about supporting people through their life experiences or challenges, and to see them empowered to grow in their wellbeing, self-awareness and personal development.
I work with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, loss, bereavement, life transitions and long term chronic health conditions such as CFS and Fibromyalgia. I am a trained sexual violence counsellor, with experience of working with sexual assault, abuse and childhood trauma. I have spent a short time in Cambodia supporting charities working with people who have experienced extreme poverty, genocide and sex trafficking. I am able to offer Christian counselling but work with those of a variety of faith or no faith background.
For many years I worked as a primary school teacher, gaining valuable experience in supporting children and their families, particularly those with significant learning, behavioural and emotional needs. This has given me an understanding of the challenges and stress that families may face, as well as the individual needs of family members. In more recent years I have been involved in pastoral roles, supporting people with struggles in their faith, life challenges or crisis. I have worked with local charities to provide counselling support through my training, voluntary work and private practise.
I can provide long or short term counselling and offer sessions either in person, online or by telephone.
If you feel I might be the right person to work with you, then you are welcome to contact me for a thirty or forty five minute consultation by video link, phone or live chat to discuss what is happening for you and how we might work together

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
