Joe is quite honestly the best councillor I have spoken to in years. He is very quick to respond when I need an appointment and is very respectful and insightful when we are on our sessions. I honestly don’t think I’d be doing as well as I am without Joe’s help. 11/10 would recommend! Thank you Joe!

Joe is fantastic! I was really apprehensive about starting therapy, but as soon as I first spoke to Joe I felt so at ease! I've only known him for a few months, but it feels like I've known him ages. Which makes talking about the harder things I've been through must easier. Very polite, respectful and ultimately down to earth! Would recommend him to anybody!

Hello, I’m Joe,

I became a counsellor as I wanted to provide a down-to-earth, practical counselling service; whatever your background, history and life circumstances happens to be.

I’m probably not your stereotypical therapist – in that I’ve spent most of my working life so far on building sites, and in my down time I'm interested in strength athletics and rock n roll. But it’s these kinds of things (as well as many others) that make me the person that I am; and it’s important for you to know a bit about me if you’re going to trust me enough to share about yourself.

I’m professionally trained as a Humanistic Integrative counsellor. What this basically means is that I have been trained in a variety of approaches to counselling, where the model that best suits you can be used. As we are all so unique as individuals, I don't believe there can be a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to counselling; so I find it beneficial to tailor my counselling approach to each individual I'm working with to best meet their needs.

I believe that we can all greatly benefit from taking time to work on our mental health - whether that be working through some challenging life 'stuff' that has come our way, or taking focused time to plan and grow in our professional or personal life.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
