Hello, my name is Ruth. I have been working with clients for over fifteen years. I have always loved supporting people through their journey of self-healing. People have different reasons for participating in therapy sessions; it may be to reconnect with themselves or to overcome hidden pain and fears caused by past events. Others may utilise therapy to learn new skills for dealing with the stresses of daily life or to maintain relationships. Whatever your reason for therapy, I will work creatively to help you reach your goals. I'm a very down-to-earth therapist who will not judge you but will empathise and actively listen to you. My approach to therapy is to tailor the sessions to the client's pace and needs.
What is the aim of integrative counselling?
I begin by creating a therapeutic relationship with my clients. Ensuring my clients feel heard and understood is important to me, and I work continuously to achieve this and to allow the process of healing and change to begin. Moreover, I provide both short- and long-term counselling and psychotherapy. Integrative counselling aims to promote healing and facilitate wholeness—ensuring that all levels of a person are maximised to their full potential. Clients must be committed to self-exploration and open to identifying the factors in their lives that are perpetuating problems and/or causing current concerns.
Integrative therapy helps create a healthy alliance between mind and body, empowering clients to set goals and practise new behaviours, that enable them to move beyond their limitations and discover greater life satisfaction.
How does integrative therapy work?
The counsellor’s role within integrative therapy is to cater for each individual client, by using specific techniques and key concepts drawn from various approaches all of which are deemed appropriate for the client and their needs.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She has been the most supportive therapist I’ve ever had
Taken the time to listen to what I have to say and make an effort to get to know and understand me before going into resolving my past traumas and what it is I need to work on to be a better person.
I was quite nervous about starting therapy but after my first session with Ruth, she really put me at ease. Not only do I feel like I’m growing emotionally through this experience but Ruth has given me practical tools to help me cope better in difficult situations. I feel really positive after my sessions with Ruth and would recommend her to anyone and everyone!
Ruth is a great listener and remembers what we have discussed in the previous sessions. I feel her support.
Very good at allowing her patient to have autonomy but also guiding them, she’s very observant, positive and professional. I feel I can be my most authentic self and she’s helped me heal traumas and now I can understand myself better and help find self helping tools to better my mental health
She is very helpful and professional
Ruth makes me extremely comfortable and at ease. Highly recommended!! Thanks Ruth! X
I was so nervous doing therapy but when I got matched with Ruth she made me feel relaxed because she sounded concerned and cared about my issues she has really helped me anyone who matched with Ruth you have a really good therapist I couldn’t of asked for someone better
Ruth is extremely kind and empathetic. She listens and offers great views and advice that I personally found very helpful.
Ruth helped me transition out of a highly stressful work environment which severely disrupted my confidence and feelings of self worth. Ruth was always empathetic in listening , validating the impact that the incident had on me, along with giving me impartial advice which I would not be able to come to the conclusion to on my own. Highly recommend Ruth - she is a wonder to work with and made me feel absolutely at ease.
Ruth created and maintained a safe, supportive and professional environment from the very first session. She encouraged me to decide the pace and focus of our meetings, and I am grateful to have had that agency. Ruth was honest, direct and gave useful and practical guidance. I am grateful for her counselling and will certainly choose to be paired with her in the future. Thank you, Ruth!
Understanding and patient to listen
Ruth is extremely helpful caring and kind couldn’t ask for a better therapist
Ruth is an incredibly kind, understanding and supportive person. She understands me very clearly and holds up a clear mirror so I have an opportunity to reflect on my own actions and thoughts and learn how to manage them. She gently guides me in the right direction and teaches me self-awareness. Ruth noticed details and asks just the right questions, as well as saying just the right things. She is very supportive and encouraging, and her words carry a lot of weight. Ruth provides a comfortable space where reliving past traumas and looking back at unpleasant memories in front of another person is liberating and insightful. Not only she is an excellent therapist, she also has a wonderful sense of humour where appropriate, which lights up my sessions. I usually leave in a good mood, relieved, motivated and thoughtful. If you’re struggling with motivation issues or low self esteem, I cannot recommend her highly enough.
