Hello. My name is Robert Soucy, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, Arizona, and Missouri, and a Clinical Professional Counselor in Nevada. I also have Drug and Alcohol Counseling Licenses in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Missouri. I have been working with people in a variety of different situations and environments since 2005. I had my first counselor’s credential in 2008 and have been working at the master’s level since 2017.

My therapy style is based on acceptance and self-love. I believe in the inherent worth of all people and my primary goal is to help the people that I work with come to love themselves in deep and meaningful ways. I specialize in populations including substance use disorders, LGBTQ+ (I am an ally) and men’s issues. I combine person-centered approach with cognitive behavioral interventions and motivational enhancement.

I know that it takes a lot of strength to reach out and ask for help. My helping style may not be what is best for everyone, but if you are struggling with any of these issues or any others, let’s see if we will be a good fit. I am down to earth and relatable. I look forward to hearing from you on the next step of your journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
