I have experience in helping clients with anxiety, addiction, grief and loss, depression, self -esteem issues, and non-acceptance of the here-and-now. My therapy style combines mainly Gestalt therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solutions-Focused Therapy. Concepts from other types of therapy are used as well.

Miriam is amazing; you can tell she truly cares and tries to figure out how to help you in the best and most self-growing way! I've only just started with her but she's one of those therapists when after I get done talking with her, I feel so light and renewed because she's just that great. She's a real human being who can relate to your struggles and I feel a strong connection with her when she does relate her personal life to me! I feel like she even knows me better than myself sometimes. I think Mariam is a great Therapist! She listens to your needs and wants. She gives you worksheets to do if you want to try them to help. She gives pointers on things to possibly try and she if she isn't sure on what advice to give you she suggests trying other options that could work.

Miriam (Kate) is very kind and helpful. She listens carefully and is friendly, even lightheartedly telling jokes to keep the levity of the conversations we've had. But, she takes her job seriously and will offer solutions and different ways of phrasing words and sentences to make my points and concerns have more of an impact, or reflect what I am "really" trying to get across. She offers homework, and encourages journal writing. The best thing about her, in my opinion, is her ability to really listen to my concerns. And I am not afraid to tell her about personal things that I struggle with. I just needed someone to listen to me, so I can get out of my own head, and I believe Miriam does a great job with this. I can trust telling her about the stuff that flows through my mind.
