Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Joanne IS THE BEST

Reviewed September 2024

The first therapist I matched with did not really make me feel welcome so I was sceptical. Then Joanne came along. Her listening, empathy and real sensitivity help me sort some strong emotions out in a very simple and controlled manner.

I have been talk with Joanne for about a month now and have been able to talk with her openly and easily. She has given me ways of coping and reflecting that has assisted me to approach everyday challenges with calmness. I look forward to continue my journey with her

Reviewed November 2023

Joanne have been very insightful, understanding, respectful and reassuring. It has not been easy discussing difficult conversations but Joanne has always listened and validated me and my concerns. Would definitely recommend and would use Joanne as my therapist again in the future.

Reviewed November 2023

Have recently started working with Jo and have found her to be extremely empathetic and reflective. She is particularly reflective about what might be going on for other people in my life - as someone with Autism I do find this particularly difficult, but the questions she poses are helping me to become a more reflective thinker. If you want a therapist who will validate you and listen to your story without judgement Jo is certainly the therapist for you.

Reviewed July 2023

We have only had a video and phone session, and texted for a week or two, but so far this has been very helpful. I am new to being an adult, but Joanne is the first helpful therapist I have ever had (which says a lot about child therapists). Would recommend, and have recommended!
