Welcome! My name is Tybreisha and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Everyone has their own perception of what wellbeing means to them, whether that be processing major life changes, overcoming lifelong trauma, or gaining a deeper understanding of their own feelings as they are encountering everyday life stressors. At times it can be challenging to identify the necessary steps to achieving wellbeing and going about that process alone can be overwhelming. Through my personal and professional experience, I have developed an understanding that meeting a person where they are in their journey allows them to recognize the innate tools that they already possess and what they would like to gain on their path to gaining a sense of wholeness.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and my Masters in Social Work from the Joint Master of Social Work Program at North Carolina A&T State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have experience with individual therapy and group interventions for individuals ranging from childhood through adulthood of diverse backgrounds. I use an eclectic approach by utilizing elements of solution focused therapy, play therapy, CBT, and a narrative approach when working with individuals who are working through the trauma that they have experienced. I enjoy using a strength-based approach to assist clients in identifying sources of support, personal strengths, and developing resiliency.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
