Dr. Ganeva never ceases to amaze me in the ways she participates during the session. I have been to a few therapists during my lifetime but I doubt I have ever had a therapist that would just let me talk about anything I wanted to see where my headspace is and to then add little notices and anecdotes regarding the place my mind may currently be - at least I feel that this is how she is operating with me - and it always feels right and always inspires to go down a new mental path or perhaps to re-explore a previous path again but in a different light/angle. The comfort and ease created by the style of conversation had has left me with no noticeable drawback or holding back in any part of our conversations, even when the topics themselves became less comfortable to myself due to past experiences or my personal relationship with the topic, the conversation itself never would feel like it is going astray, the feeling of safety and just the right amount of guidance never wavers. I recall from the beginning of our first session that Dr. Ganeva said she would like to know what style of support I would prefer - be it direct, more subtle, exploratory - these are my recitings of them, not her own words but basically it was a very open offering to say what I feel would work best for me and I feel although I may have picked one way or the other, over time our conversations have naturally drifted to an ideal fit for me to be perfectly aligned between comfort, progress, understanding and being understood, and most of all never feeling out of control or caught off-guard. The way Dr. Ganeva knows to structure her replies - and this is only occurring to me after going through the conversations we have had in my head again - is absolutely astonishing - I, obviously, cannot say this for certain but it feels to me as if she understands my current situation, mood, and position of mental availability from so many angles and through the tiniest of behaviors I display during our sessions, as if I were the most open book in the world - now, I do not try to hide things of myself intentionally but we all have those moments in which we're not entirely honest and I feel that she is ever aware of it when it happens. TL;DR: One of the most empathetic, understanding, mentally flexible, gentle guiding therapists I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient of - not only does she take the time to allow me to express my needs - she also understands them when not expressed and adapts to every situation as needed for my feeling of safety, understanding, and to drive the conversation forward at the possible pace.

Welcome
Hello, I’m Gergana. I have extensive experience supporting clients through existential and relationship challenges, spirituality, and personal growth. My therapeutic practice embraces diverse ways of knowing and collaboration, drawing on creative, embodied, and talking methods. I believe we all have an innate capacity for growth, healing, and emotional well-being, which flourishes in a warm, caring, and non-judgmental space—a space we will co-create together.
My Background
Over the past 20 years, I have worked as a psychologist, social worker, counselor, talking therapist, and art psychotherapist, helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and emotional distress.
My work is rooted in a humanistic and integrative approach, drawing from Person-Centered, Emotion-Focused, Process-Experiential, Expressive Arts Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Jungian perspectives. Rather than adhering to a single framework, I tailor my approach to each individual, integrating creative, embodied, and verbal methods to support deep healing and transformation.
I work with international clients from all over the world, offering individual and couples therapy. My belief is that therapy is a co-created process—a dynamic space where clients feel truly heard, understood, and empowered
My Approach
While I bring extensive training and therapeutic knowledge, I see my role as a facilitator rather than an expert on my clients’ experiences. My practice is not about imposing solutions but about collaboratively exploring meaning, patterns, and unconscious processes, allowing for insight, growth, and self-discovery.
What I love most about being a therapist is the privilege of witnessing personal growth and transformation. It is deeply meaningful to walk alongside someone as they navigate their inner world, uncover insights, and reconnect with their strengths. Every person’s journey is unique, and I feel honored to co-create a space of safety, reflection, and self-discovery where you can explore your thoughts and emotions authentically.
I am especially drawn to the depth and authenticity of therapeutic encounters, where real, unfiltered emotions can be expressed and understood. Witnessing someone gain clarity, reclaim their voice, or experience a moment of self-acceptance is profoundly moving. Therapy fosters a deep sense of connection—not just between therapist and client, but also within the client’s own relationship with themselves.
Authenticity & Exploration
Authenticity is central to my practice. Being genuine in the therapeutic space allows for a deeper connection and ensures that clients feel truly seen and understood. I strive to model authenticity in my interactions, encouraging clients to bring their whole selves into the process without fear of judgment.
Rather than imposing answers, I offer insights and perspectives that invite exploration. Every individual has their own path, and my role is to help you see things from different angles, opening doors to deeper self-awareness and moments of profound insight and growth.
Collaboration, Flow and Directivity
Therapy is a collaborative process that can take many forms. On one end, there are structured approaches—focused on specific goals, techniques, and strategies to modify behaviors or achieve clear outcomes. On the other, there is a more unstructured, process-led approach, where our conversation unfolds naturally and deeper insights emerge over time. My practice leans toward the process-led side. I prioritize creating a reflective space where the journey itself is as important as any destination. That said, if your main focus is behavior modification or you’re looking for highly directive guidance, a more structured approach might be more beneficial.
The Importance of the Therapeutic Relationship
Therapy is not just about techniques or specific approaches—it is the relationship between client and therapist that fosters healing and transformation. Research consistently shows that the effectiveness of therapy is most strongly linked to the quality of this relationship rather than any particular method. We are born in relationship, we develop in relationship, and our healing also happens within a relational space. The most meaningful growth happens in a space of trust, safety, and connection.
Just as we absorb behaviors from our environment, therapy provides a space to explore patterns that are no longer serving and cultivate new, more fitting ways of relating to ourselves and others. In therapy, even seemingly small actions—like lateness, missing a session, or assumptions—can often be subtle projections of deeper patterns. These behaviors may reflect important tendencies in how we relate to ourselves and the world around us. It's possible that the way we show up in therapy mirrors how we engage with others in our personal and professional lives. This is why, if feelings of judgment arise or certain patterns of behavior become noticeable, they could be significant markers of underlying relational dynamics. Bringing these tendencies into the light is not about self-criticism but about self-awareness. To make the best use of therapy, it’s essential to have the courage to name these natural, often unconscious processes and approach them with curiosity. This exploration can open up valuable insights into how we interact with others, and help us create healthier, more authentic relationships. Therapy becomes a gift when we explore these patterns with openness, recognizing that they offer opportunities for growth and healing.
The Importance of a Good Fit
A key cornerstone of our work together is establishing a genuine, collaborative therapeutic relationship. This co-creation is vital—without a strong connection and mutual understanding, even the best techniques can fall short. It’s essential that we feel a true fit before we begin our work. You should feel safe, heard, and supported from the very first interaction, and I encourage you to assess this fit both at the beginning and throughout the therapeutic process. As our work evolves, so too can our approach, adapting to meet your changing needs.
Online Therapy & Intense Needs
Working online offers convenience and flexibility, but it also comes with its own set of considerations. Building a deep connection in a virtual space requires intentionality, and if you’re dealing with very intense issues or need specialized support, in-person therapy or additional services may be more suitable.
Let’s Connect
If you value a creative, reflective space where the therapeutic relationship is a true co-creation, and you’re open to a process-led approach that evolves over time, I’d love to connect. Your journey is unique, and together we can explore the best path forward for your healing and growth.
Looking forward to embarking on this transformative journey with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Amazing, guided therapist with great wisdom
Dr. Ganeva is supportive and has been a pleasure to connect with. I would highly recommend her to others.
Dr Genava is amazing and exactly what I was looking for on a therapist
Very concise in helping me to both reflect on my life, and rediscover my internal core values and measure them up against a long-term relationship injury. Also provided a safe space to deeply consider new roads vs the ones I had established over 26 years with my current partner and supporting me through my redevelopment of love in ways that hope to prevent future crisis.
Over the past three sessions with Dr. Ganeva, I have experienced a profound sense of relief and progress in confronting my vulnerabilities. From the outset, Dr. Ganeva exudes a warmth and empathy that instantly puts me at ease, creating an environment where I feel safe to explore my emotions and challenges. One of Dr. Ganeva's most remarkable qualities is her ability to actively listen without judgment. She doesn't just hear my words; she truly understands the underlying emotions and experiences behind them. This level of understanding has allowed me to open up in ways I never thought possible, breaking down barriers that I had previously struggled to overcome. Moreover, Dr. Ganeva possesses a remarkable knack for asking insightful questions that prompt deep introspection. Through her guidance, I have been able to gain a better understanding of myself, my thought patterns, and the root causes of my vulnerabilities. Each session feels like a journey of self-discovery, with Dr. Ganeva as my trusted guide.
Gergana is a kind, caring and non-judgmental person. She asks great questions and I feel that she's helping me to understand myself more. She gave me some great insights that made me shift my perspectives and gain new awareness. I love talking to her.
I am enjoying working with Dr Ganeva, she is able to understand my needs and give valuable insight to my current situation on how I can manage my interpersonal challenges. I would recommend her to those who are in need of support and reassurance into navigating turbulent life challenges in better coping with your emotions.
Dr.Ganeva somehow is very easy to talk to and makes good points that help me and help me understand myself and better myself.
Gergana is wonderful. She is incredibly kind, professional, and provides considerations in diverse ways, like questions, metaphors, spiritual references. Even after just one discussion, I felt a lightening of my anxieties. Cannot recommend her strongly enough.
She is great. Listens extremely well and maintains a balance between participating in the conversation and leaving room for me to get at the core of the memory or feeling that I am exploring.
Dr. Ganeva is very easy and pleasant to talk with. She is empathetic and offers important insights that help you better understand your situation and also make practical decisions.
Gergana is truly amazing! She has supported me to make a critical pivot in my way of thinking and thus move onto a life chapter where I am more connected to my true being.
Dr. Ganeva has a wise and kind approach which is very reassuring. She cares and is non-judgemental. She makes me feel better about myself. She also has a subtle way of transmitting that you have to find your own solutions - but she is a guide who lights the way and opens doors which would likely have otherwise remained closed. Besides all this I appreciate her humour and interest in creativity and mythology. I am very glad of her help.
It has been a pleasure working with Dr. Ganeva over the past few weeks. She is thoughtful and warm, and offers a lot of guidance and knowledge around the topics we discuss.
