I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Master of Arts in Developmental Psychology from George Mason University in 1998 and a Master of Arts in School Psychology in 2002. I have been working as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology in Texas for the last 16 years. Prior to that, I worked as a School Psychologist in both Virginia and West Virginia.

Counseling has been integrated into my public school career for approximately 20 years. I have enjoyed working with special populations, with a specific focus on children and adolescents with autism and emotional disorders. I also have a passion for working with individuals and families who have endured the effects of alcohol and substance abuse issues. As the wife of a career military member, I have experienced the pros and cons of the military life, frequent deployments, and resulting mental health issues, and thus am ready to help those in similar circumstances.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
