So, you may have reached the point where you are ready to make a change. You may be looking to understand yourself in a deeper way and break free of the patterns of the past. You might be sick of that chest gripping fear of anxiety, or carrying around those weighty chains of depression and you are looking to make that first step towards an easier way of living. There may be trauma from the past that is shadowing your life or you may be struggling with difficult emotions such as anger or grief. Let's take the next step together.

As an integrative therapist, I work from a base of person centred therapy but add to that acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion focussed therapy and strengths based positive therapy. This means I can offer a balance of both listening and doing exercises within the therapy room. We can develop coping strategies together and find what works for you.

So you are here, ready to take that step and reach out to someone. If you would like to work with me I will offer a warm, safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where we work at your pace and I always hold your wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. You will always be in charge of our sessions be this short term or long term work.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I had only one meeting with Lydia, but I can say that I felt very comfortable communicating with her. She listened but at the same time interacted with me. I can say that although it was a video call, I felt better after our talk and look forward to our next session.

Lydia has been and continues to be an absolute godsend and I will forever be grateful for her assistance, her expertise, and for the way she has been supporting me on my difficult journey. In the really rough times, she was there for me in a way that went beyond anything you can and should expect from a therapist. She really cares. I couldn’t have done this journey without her, it sounds dramatic, but is absolutely true. Her empathy and expertise are unmatched. I shall forever be grateful for having been matched with this wonderful therapist and human being.

I very much admire the techniques that Lydia Jenkins uses in therapy. I feel Lydia really listens and fully hits points that I’m feeling and helps me through it, even though it’s only been a few sessions I feel like Lydia already knows me and knows how to guide me through life.

First time in my life having the courage to actually start going to therapy and I get the best therapist there is! She is super patient with me, listens to everything I rant about and most important, she kept up with me although I have a big problem with procrastination. She helped me feel happiness again, and made me start looking forward to things in life. I'd recommend her a thousand times.
