I have been working in counselling for over 16 years.
My experience consists of working as a counsellor in a GP surgery, working for Someone Cares as a trauma counsellor with clients who are suicidal, self-harm and have experienced child sexual abuse and working for Northumbria Police as an Occupational Health Counsellor specialising in trauma and EAP, which gave me a wealth of experience in working with stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, bereavement and other losses.

Karen is kind and patient and offers very practical advice when needed while also giving me the space to reach my own conclusions. I've felt a definite change in mood and perspective since starting therapy with her.
I have only met with Karen once and it was aa good meeting; I felt understood and look forward to continuing with her.
The sessions with Karen are always relaxing and she has a good sense of humor. In the course of a relaxed conversation, you'll notice those heavy and stubborn issues start to change slightly. She is very wise and gives pertinent advice. Personally, I don't need a counselor who tell “what I want to hear” to me all the time. Karen always hits the nail on the head with the issues and the motivations and reasons behind them, which is exciting. I know I'm on the right path and am very grateful for her help!
Karen is amazing! She always listens and try for me to participate as much as I can, she doesn’t give me straight answers but want me to work on the understanding issue and dig dip myself! She is professional but super friendly and warm at the same time! I’d highly recommend her to anyone that deals with similar issues to mine !
