Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Rachael has been absolutely wonderful. I really feel heard. She is very encouraging and has been able to help me in such a short period of time. I honestly feel so much better about everything since having her to talk with and it's only been a few sessions. She's helped me set attainable goals, assisted me with tools to improve my communication skills, and helped me find the strength to get to where I want to go. I am very appreciative of her kind and caring delivery when discussing things, and I'm glad she was paired with me here as my therapist. Thanks for everything Rachael. And thanks for this immensely helpful platform Better Help.

Rachael is a wonderful therapist. She is kind, compassionate, a good listener, and offers meaningful reflections and exercises to address my issues. She stays in touch and follows up. I can tell that she genuinely cares about my well-being. I truly appreciate her insight and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Rachael has been a great support during the many difficult changes I had to face in a period in my life. Breakup, career change, applying to masters program, she was willing to discuss anything and reassure me that what I was feeling is completely normal. She gave me great advice on how to go about certain situations but always made sure to remind me that at the end I should do what would be best for me. Any advice she gave I chose to mostly follow and I was able to slowly feel myself healing and feeling better about my circumstances. She suggested I practice gratitude, journal my thoughts and feelings. To both focus on the good in life but also let out all the thoughts that we’re consuming me on paper. She would often check up on me days before session which made me feel like I mattered. Thank you Rachael. In a small amount of time you made a big difference. Appreciate all your help.
