Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Dr. Felthous is real, down-to-earth, professional, kind & warm. She has already done me a world of good in only 3 sessions. I'm so grateful that BetterHelp connected me to her and actually listened to what I needed. She's the perfect match for me right now.

I love her!! She gives the best homework for the situation. Responds within a timely manner. It’s only my 3rd or 4th week having BetterHelp. I’m recommending it to everyone who I feel that needs it! She is so nice!! When I downloaded this app, I was expecting more dry and less humany responses, Elizabeth has blown me away! I never knew that therapy could be this exciting. I look forward to continuing to heal mentally now, not dreading it. I love that she’s just a message away, listens to what I have to say and responds accordingly, she asks the difficult questions but I know it’s to understand and to give me a nudge in the right direction.

Reviewed March 2024

She is proactive in preparing me for life outside of therapy by providing me with worksheets relevant to my main issue and staying focused on identifying the core reason for my main issue. She is an attentive listener and effectively guides me to practical solutions. I’m glad I was matched to her as my first Better Help therapist.
