Working relationally as a therapeutic humanistic counsellor I view each person as unique, with their thoughts, feelings, and emotions contributing to their overall life experience. I have an arts background and began my counsellors training 16 years ago, in order to help others through their difficlulties - whether this is work related, family dynamics, personal relationships, grief, loss and attachment. I've worked within substance misuse and addiction serivces and those who were experiencing serious mental health illnesses, across the NHS and third sector organisations.
Solutions can sometimes present themselves through changes to the way we think or how we act, but sometimes the process is less straightforward, taking time to explore, process and reflect on life and its challenges.
I currently offer short term solution focused therapy; some ask 'How long will it take?'. There's are many factors which can help in moving forward, and as a therapeutic counsellor I believe in the client and therapist relationship and how important this is in the healing process. I work creatively, and work with what you the client brings to each session, using a person centred approach.
I currently work in addition to Better Help for several charities and community services. The sessions which I have on offer with Better Help range from weekday and weekday evening sessions.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
