Hello! I am Laura, I am a counsellor qualified with a first-class Integrative Counselling degree. I strive to bring my authentic self to the sessions so we can work together to build a therapeutic relationship. I believe all good therapy starts with a solid relationship where trust and autonomy is promoted. Getting to know you is an important foundation to my counselling approach. As an integrative therapist, I can tap into various modalities and theories to help you with the reasons you are seeking therapy at this time. This could look like lots of talking and working things out together, blended with a creative approach such as journalling, mindfulness or something similar. We could also look at bringing in psychoeducation to understand what might be happening from a different perspective.

I have experience working with grief and loss, different kinds of trauma and with people who have experienced domestic violence. Along with other issues such as work-related stress, depression and relationship issues.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.

There are many different ways the sessions can be tailored to meet your needs, if you have made it this far you are on your way to starting your therapy journey and I hope to meet you very soon.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
