Using an integrative approach, I tailor therapy to you—whether that’s working through anxiety, building confidence, improving relationships, or setting boundaries. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Whatever the problem, I am here to help you work towards being able to deal with things in a more manageable way.

Counselling with me is down-to-earth, warm, and conversational. I believe in being real—no clinical coldness or sitting in awkward silence. We might laugh, we might swear, and we’ll definitely get honest about what’s going on. I know therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to have all the answers before you start.

If you want to know more about my training, my core training includes:

- Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies

- Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

- Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling

Further theory based training in:

- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) – Association of Psychological Therapies

- Trauma Focussed CBT (TfCBT) – Association of Psychological Therapies

- Transactional Analysis (TA101) – The Berne Institute

Over the years I have deepened my skills through extra training in areas that are often important for my clients, some examples includes:

- Working Therapeutically with ADHD

- Dealing with Distress: working with suicide and self-harm

- Anxiety and Panic Disorders

- Building self-confidence and self-esteem

- Coping with overwhelm, burnout and imposter syndrome

- Working with People-pleasing

- Working with Transgender individuals

In addition to my private practice, I’ve worked in a variety of settings. I’ve provided support for a charity that helps individuals feeling like they have no way forward, worked in a senior school offering counselling to students, staff, and parents (often with a focus on building self-esteem and worth), and served at a low-cost agency to support the wider community.

I believe that the most important thing is finding a counsellor that you click with and feel comfortable enough to talk to. I believe that we can start to feel better when we find someone who understands us and you can find connection with. I'm a professional counsellor but I'm a human first so I believe being my authentic self is also important.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
