More about Amy

  • 6 years' experience
  • Female
  • LICSW, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist in both Massachusetts and Texas, with over six years of experience. I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals who have experienced complex trauma, as well as those facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and attachment-related issues.

As a Christian therapist, I bring an empathetic, faith-centered perspective to the therapeutic process, while respecting and honoring the unique beliefs and values of each client. I believe that Jesus and therapy go well together and it’s through faith in Him and belief in His word, we can have true peace and change. Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” What a powerful truth!

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, and I work collaboratively with individuals to define and achieve their goals. I have extensive experience in a range of therapeutic modalities including Solution-Focused Therapy, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Trauma Informed approaches. My practice is rooted in understanding, compassion, and evidence-based practices to empower my clients in navigating their emotional and psychological struggles while providing the support needed for clients to stabilize, heal, and move forward.

Above all, my goal is to empower my clients, help them gain clarity, and guide them toward living a life that aligns with their values and aspirations. I believe therapy is a journey and a partnership, and while it may feel uncomfortable at times, it is in this space of discomfort that growth and healing can occur. My strength lies in helping clients feel safe and supported as we navigate these challenges together and to be there as you take the next steps toward a more fulfilling and content life.

I can't wait to get started!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
